A large TM issue I believe. The word "YouTube" in it pretty much makes it a dangerous domain, especially if you're going to do a video sharing site.

I would be extremely cautious in buying a domain like this.

I think you should park it with keywords different from the trademarked area...

It doesn't have similar domain like Youtube.in (which would caused a TM issue).

BUT.

In fact, you can find YouTube proxies called: www.youtubeproxy.co.uk/.

And they don't have TM issues. I think, but I am not sure, so I am sorry I cannot help you friend...

He could give up the domain which is a lot easier than giving up "$$$" for a lawyer...

There are thousand and thousands of them out there, but if they were smart they would not admit it. The issue is "similar or confusingly similar", are you saying his domain is not confusingly similar? I think it is and he is infringing...
