With the raisins/metal thing... Are you by chance taking some antibiotics, or any sulfa drugs? When I take antibiotics, my mouth tastes metally, and everything I eat tastes the same...
My favorite is measured in 1 part 3 part and 6 part - for instance.... teaspoons would be:.
1 tsp Montreal Steak Seasoning.
3 tsp Soy Sauce or Braggs Liquid Aminos.
6 tsp (2 TBL) Olive Oil.
You can marinade just a few minutes or over night.
This amount would do 4 breasts pretty easily..

Do you have ketosis mouth? That can leave leave a sweet and/or metallic taste in your mouth...
What about the lemon crunch or caramel bars? they aren't raisiny at all. or ketosis mouth..
For chicken marinade-.
3 boneless chicken breasts.
2 Tbsp light soy sauce.
1 garlic clove, pressed or minced.
1 tsp brown sugar substitute.
1 tsp ginger paste or 1/2 tsp ground ginger.
1 Tbsp olive oil.
Mix marinade, put in ziploc with chicken. Marinate overnite or for at least 4 hours..
Remove from bag, discard marinade, grill or pan sear till cooked thru. Weigh 7 ounces, give the rest to your husband (that's what I do!)..
Yes, because the marinade is being absorbed by the meat. However, I have no idea how much is being absorbed and how many condiments to count it as. I just read it on the Nutrisystem board before and they weren't clear about the amount of condiments...

Salamida's State Fair Spiedie Sauce. Its tangy. I like it on both my meat and vegetables. I just used it in the crock pot the other day with a pork roast and it was fabulous. The Chicken Barbeque Sauce is also good, but it has a little more calories, fats, and carbs, AND you definitely have to marinade for 24 hours for full flavor as they suggest..

To me, metally mouth means ketosis..
While it can be a bummer, it's also a blessing.
Hope it gets better, it seems that it was sporadic for me, I believe I maintained ketosis, but the "metally" taste, came and went..
