I use a digital scale and it seems to be working consist..I too will step on it 2 to 3 times and I get the same reading so I think that the digital is the way to go and easier to read than the analog...good luck with the scale buying......
The WeightWatchers digital scale from Bed Bath and Beyond is a great scale. I highly recommend it. You really want a digi scale...
I have a Health-O-Meter digital scale. I've had it for at least 6 years and I love it. It is always accurate. I can step on it over and over and it always has the same weight. I got it at Target. I don't remember how much it was, but based on my spending habits, I doubt it was more than $50...
I bought a Tanita when I started MF. They're pricey but I figured that I'd be doing this for awhile and I really did not want to deal with the additional stress of having a scale that wasn't consistent. It's great; step on it once or step on it five times and it's always the same weight.
Whatever you get, make it digital...
Ditto on the Tanita. We travel with it, move it around a lot and it's always consistent...
At the suggestion of a bunch of Medifasters, I bought myself a Tanita digital scale as well and haven't looked back. The number is always consistent, even if I weight a few times in a row. I absolutely love it, and it's great if you want to have a body fat percentage, as well as a body water percentage to analyze too!..
I use a counterweight beam scale and have for years. I can calibrate it myself and get the same weight...
