I have such a domain name: ebayPro.info,.

Last week I received a mail from ebay.com, they said :"We are writing concerning your registration of ebaypro.info which contains the famous eBay trademark.....

".

They told me lots of knowledge about ebay, and last they said:"...to avoid consumer confusion, eBay must insist that you not use the domain name for any purpose, do not sell, offer to sell or transfer the domain name to a third party, and instead simply let the domain registration expire. ".

Oh! who can tell me, what can I do for this name?.

Thanks!..

Let it expire...

Otherwise you'll have an expensive battle on your hands that you will not win...

You should have known better...

This is a good learning experience for you...

Well atleast they did not say Hand the Domain over for nothing lol.. Instead they said let it expire.. eBay Lawyers are actually not dumb.

Pretty much follow what it says in the email..

But now I found there is a domain name "ebaymadeeasy.com", listing in the sedo's Auction Listings.. it has "ebay" too ...

Expire. Be glad they choose not to take any action against you...

Even if he sells the domain name eBay can and WILL come after him as well as the new owner.

Do as the letter says. eBay are fierce when it comes to their trademarks...

Yeah, I'd definitely be letting it expire. I wouldn't want to get into a legal battle with ebay...

Looks registered less than a month ago. You have it parked at Namedrive.. Doubtful you make any money from it. Why keep it?.

Utterly amazes me when people are confused about something that Ebay is making obvious to you. The domain is a TM infringement and being used in bad faith.

Try finding generic domains to register...

Do what they say and let it expire. It is a terrible domain name anyway. Why use a TM like ebay and combine it with the .info extension. Did you think you would get a lot of traffic?..

Follow their instructions & let it expire, not worth the trouble IMO..

Log into your GoDaddy account, go to 'My domains', put a check in the box next to this domain, click on 'Cancel domain'.

Messing with TM's is not fun and games anymore. Companies are taking a very hard stance in defending their mark now. Especially companies like Ebay that now have to have a lawyer dedicated full time to the cause...

What someone else tries to get away with - is not your concern....

Even if you had it listed on SEDO and got an offer... you'd be required.

To admit the facts about the C&D letter you recieved and the potential.

Sale would fall through... why waste your time ??.

Live and learn...

Good luck in the future...

Moved to legal issues. (Again, for the OP's own benefit.).
