I'm not sure I know what a "pic" file is? PC Paint used to create 8 bit and 4 bit pic files. Lotus 123 back in the 80s created pic files. I think 3D studios might have a file with a pic extension, but don't know of a photography file that does. Maybe someone else has heard of it. Now if you're referring to a "pict" file, photoshop can possibly recover them. "Pict" was the old metafile used by Macintosh before they switched to PDF...
Sorry, should have clarified. I meant picture files\images, mostly jpegs and gifs. and I tried photoshop cs3, it wouldn't display the images fully, either...
I had a hard drive go corrupt on me once. I ended up geting a program called "restorer2000" and ended up retreiving about 95% of my files. It isn't a free program but I felt my files were worth it. I did download a trial first to see if it would work...the trial listed the files it said it could recover but didn't recover them until I purchased a license..
You can purchase it online athttp://www.restorer2000.com.
Make sure you don't use the harddrive for anything until after you have recovered your files though!!!.
Recovered a bunch of pics that were accidentally deleted, some of thepics don't work(most do). i'm assuming some of the data in the imagefiles were corrupted\lost in the recovery process. are there anyprograms that can fix epair pic files that are blank when youopen\preview?.
Sweet, thanks- I got the program. now, what can I do to do rebuild or recover the image files? some of them don't load when I open it up...
Wait. Deleted from what, a card or a drive? The 'recovered' pics are corrupt? How were they recovered?.
Do you still have the original card or drive (to try a different recovery method)?..
