That's when you do 4 MF, 2 L&G, and 1 piece of fruit, I believe...
The 4&2 is 4 Medifast meals, 2 full L&G. You don't double healthy fats though so if you do two Leanest you only have healthy fat once...
Aha! This is a very key piece of information.
Thank you...
ChinaKat there is a special group called 4&2 for Reduction that is specifically for people who choose this route in Medifast to lose weight. If you do a search of the forums you should be able to find it!..
Melsing8, the 4&2&1 is part of the Medifast Diabetic Program...
Your welcome. Keep in mind that even Nutrisystem and the trainers will say that you lose weight slower on 4&2...
Eat 4 Medifast meals and 2 lg meals that simple LOL..
This hasn't been my experience thankfully, and I'm knocking on wood so as to not jinx myself...
I go to a center here in California. They said the 4 and 2, is two lean and greens & 4 Medifast foods. In addition you get one snack. You choose from one of: grain, fruit, or dairy. Again you only get to choose one of these options. Also, your healthy fat is limited to 1 per l&g.
For example 1-2 lbs and is recommended for older clients. Hope this helps...
When you include a snack that is a grain, fruit, or dairy, it's not the 4&2 plan, it's the 4&2&1 plan, which is also known as the diabetic plan. The guide for the 4&2&1 is here: http://medifast1.com/weightloss/diabetes.aspx..
I don't necessarily think I'll have a more gradual loss. For me, personally, 800 calories is too few. I teeter on the edge of starvation mode, and I worry about long term effect to my metabolism on a diet that low in calories. In the past I've done far better eating around 1000-1100 calories per day.
I also prefer to be active, and I just don't have it in me to be active on such a low calorie diet.
Anyway, we shall see what the scale says.....
