I'm so excited! At the same time I am very scared. I've done WW in the past and while it worked a bit I couldn't stick to it. I'm worried that I will have the same problems on MF. I'm worried that I'm going to want to sneak the last bit of my kids tater tots they didn't eat or want to snack on something else. I'm worried that I won't be full enough because I'm a big pig and eat so much as it is. I'm just worried.

It feels so good to say it and get it off my chest. Thanks for reading...

Gabby - you are most def NOT the first...I am right along there with you...I grew up pretty poor (not dirt poor, but below middle class) and it is ingrained in me that you never waste is one of my biggest struggles to battle on this journey....

As hard as it is, try to not compare this new experience to anything in the past...I have a "perfectionist" attitude and have a problem with setting myself up for failure...I can't compare my results on A diet to the B diet, etc...I have to learn that this is a new journey and to leave all that other crap in the past....

I say, don't let the scared feelings out do the EXCITED! Focus on the excitement of starting new and having a new group of cyber friends to celebrate with! Everday you complete on Medifast is worth celebrating...congrats on making the decision to change your life forever!!..

I'd like to add that whenever I try to do WW I SUCK at it! LOL I just can't stick with it. I think there is too much freedom, lol. I need a really STRICT set of guidelines and Medifast really works! Just take a deep breath and everything will fall into place! I was having nightmares the week before that I wasn't going to be able to do it, but I totally can!.

I still do dream of eating lots of food and drinking water though..

Congrats on starting a new way of life. Read the boards, you will find tons and tons of info and most all your questions will be answered. This is a easy program, stick to it 100% and within a few days to a week, you won't be hungry, you'll lose and you will be happy.

A lot of new people over think this program. Eat/drink the 5 meals and keep L&G simple for awhile. It works like clock work. In reading the boards you'll find that some people don't lose in weeks 2 or 3, this is normal as your body is adjusting. Wishing you the BEST!..

As far as old habbits like grabbing a french fry off a kids plate of handful of cheese while cooking with it - that was hard for me.... I wasn't hungry - but I had to to just watch myself as I would start to take a fry and then remember - "no I am not having this" and stop myself. It was eye opening to see how often I must have had a bit of this or that just out of habit and not becuase I was hungry.... so I have slowed down and paid attention adn I am fine. Sometimes it helps me to even think about their food if I have my L&G before I make their dinner as well...

Welcome Gabby! Congrats on getting started.

Today is the end of my first week for me and I'm gonna tell you it was a tad trying the first couple of days but it got soooo much easier. You can really do this. I totally understand the french fry thing too. It's those things we do without thinking that we've made habits, and weren't even aware of that you'll catch yourself doing. (And you will catch yourself).

For me it was the driving home from the fiance's place late at night and wanting to go through the drive through for a Coke (not diet). Or the mindless picking up a roll of giant Smarties at the check out at Walmart because that's what I used to do. (apparently pretty often.) After you become aware it's easier to stop yourself. Really.

Hang in there girl, you can do this have no doubt!..
