Okay, I know dieting is not easy. My first week was great, not hungry, felt good, lost 7.5 pounds..

However, this week I feel bad, weak, light headed, and VERY hungry..

Is this typical?.

Your advise is really appreciated...

I felt like this my second week too .... but eventually it got better. So much better that I started waking up before my alarm clock would go off.

Take it one day at a time, you're doing great...

Were you completely OP for the first week?.

I just started my second week today. I felt like absolute garbage my whole first week, was exhausted all the time, couldn't get out of bed, always hungry, bad moods, etc. Just the first day of the second week, and I feel great. I woke up after 4 1/2 hours of sleep and am absolutely full of energy, haven't been dealing with constant hunger or lethargy at all..

My guess would be that if you were completely OP first week, that your body just took longer to start going into ketosis. You'll feel great in 5 days or so once your body makes the transition; just stay OP, drink plenty of water, and get plenty of sleep...

Hi and congratulations on getting this far! Yes the first 2-3 weeks can be difficult. There are the hungries, the headaches, the belly aches and the infamous 3rd week stall. All coming to a Medifaster near you. This is the worst of it. If you can stay focused and on plan you'll come out of this time sailing. Just remember to drink as much water as you can...

More water flushes out more crap means you'll feel better. Take a nap if you can and you need it. A lot of us were exhausted the first few weeks. This is why Medifast doesn't want us exercising until the 4th week or so. The hunger is another issue.

Are you feeling physical hunger or mental hunger? Chances are you're experiencing more mental hunger than physical. Part of the Medifast journey is learning to deal with that part of us. Why do we think we need to eat? We know we just ate. We know we'll eat in about 2-3 hours. Very unlikely it's physical hunger.

That your L&G is measured and that you focus on getting through this time on plan. If you can do that, the rest is easy peasy lemon squeezy. Good luck!..

Congratulations on the great first week..

It could be that you are low on salt with all the water you are processing Try adding some bullion to your soup or just drink it like tea. You could do the dill pickle snack or add olives as your healthy fat for more salt..

Hope it passes and you feel better soon...

Thanks guys,.

I am sure I will be fine. I guess after the first week went so smoothly, I was a little taken back by feeling this bad on week 2. I was completely OP both this week and last with the exception of the water. I will now work much harder to get in my water each day..

Thanks again for taking the time to reply..

Hope everyone has a great day...

Just keep reading all of the success stories to keep you motivated and to remind yourself that you will soon be thin. As time goes on you will feel better and really begin to love the food. As I near goal and transition, I kind of dread giving up any of my five packets...

I felt like hell for the first three weeks. Actually the first was fine, but then I had a couple of weeks that really weren't good. I was taking naps in the afternoon for the first time since I was four. I was complaining to my husband about what a stupid idea two-story houses were and barely dragging myself up the stairs..

And then, it just changed, and it will for you too. Maybe not the huge rush of energy that some people talk about, but you'll get into the rhythm of the whole thing and it'll be fine..

The way I felt that first few weeks helps keep me 100% on plan. I am not going through that again...

I am in my third week and I do have moments when I feel weak. For example, today I totally embarrassed myself. While I was at work, I bent over to pick something up off the floor. I almost fell over head first. Luckily there was a wall close to me that I grabbed, but I hit the door kinda hard and drew a lot of attention. I was so embarrassed!.

My second week was miserable. Way worse than the first week. But I'm in my 10th week now and I feel awesome. Just hang in there!..

The only time I feel completely wiped out is several days before TOM visits. Thankfully for me I only get visited anywhere from 45 to 65 days apart (age actually does have a perk in this case lol)..

Im sorry your not feeling well! But it will pass. Have some bouillon or pickles as others have suggested and make sure your drinking plenty of water. Are you excercising? If you havent before MF, dont now. At least not the first 3-4 weeks..

Please keep us posted!..

I can't offer advise because I am just starting my second week, but I will say reading all the comments by others keeps me motivated to stay on track. I haven't really been hungry on OP but my stomach makes some funny noises now and then. I am still tired when I wake up but since that has always been the case, I don't contribute that to the diet. Thanks to everyone for the inspiration and great information...

THis is EXACTLY how I felt on the 2nd week. Of course, I'm only into the 3rd week now, but so far this week is GREAT. Hang in there!..

I can't figure out if I have a sinus headache or if it's a headache from Medifast 2nd week. It's really annoying. I know this will pass...I can't wait!..

Thanks everyone. The advise is so helpful. Reminded me to increase water, pay closer attention and not let so much time pass between meals (somedays I would go way over the 3 hours due to crazy schedule). Doing better today, not great but better. I read on another board about mixing sprite zero, shake mix and ice. Wow, I loved it and it was so filling.

Thanks again,..

It really comes and goes for me. I have days of feeling like garbage and day after day of feeling perfectly fine...
