I own a pretty good "yellow pages" name.

I haven't put it to use because I was under the assumption that.

TM issues would be a problem.

Then I run into this site (here) and there seems to be no official connection with "Yellow Pages" and they've been in business for several years.

Anyone have any insight on TM issues using "Yellow Pages" ?

Thanks...

There are several versions of 'yellow pages' used by multiple companies. This one I would have to say would be OK to park because there are so many different versions that it would be hard to prove whom you are actually damaging. (I'm not a TM attorney so don't take my word for it ).

Here is a link to the registered TM's http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield...h=Submit+Query..

I agree - If you'll read the fine print on the actual YellowPages .com site , AT&T really only mentions the AT&T "Brand" itself as protected. "Yellow Pages" the term is used somewhat as generic among Phone and Directory companies IMO -.

There are several PPC listings if you search for the term "Yellow Pages" on google as well - Including Google's Own listing...

You are fine.

"Yellow Pages" is a generic term. It is not owned by anyone - which is why you see other companies using names like: The OTHER Yellow Pages...

We had a long thread here once and I think it was a good discussion. Do an advanced search for yellow in the legal section...

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I'll be pursuing this through legal advice.

Let you know what happens...

Yeah it's like, a generic term, here in england we have a few versions of the yellow pages, we have yell.com which is "the yellow pages" phonebook directory, but iv seen niche yellow pages for example "the motor yellow pages" seperate company comlptly with a sperate book ect..

Your fine, good domain too, could be a very good website..

It's a generic term, you're fine. I work with the yellow pages industry in my "real" job (you know, the one that actually makes me money ). I've been keeping an eye out for yellow pages domains myself. It's a huge, growing industry...
