Go back to the forum. Click on Rules/Help and scroll down to the Help section. It tells you how to embed images. Note that you need to have uploaded your images to a website, e.g. pbase or flickr, first.Chris R..

I have photobucket , post multiple pics all the time.you have to belong/be part of a pic hosting site on the web..

I have IE7, so I simply have the photobucket web site up with my pics open on 1 web page, and the dpreview page I am replying to open on another page. write whatever you wish, go to photobucket(left click once on the pic's url link to make it blue, right click select copy), then on the reply page of dpreview position the blinking cursor where you wish, then right click and select paste, the copied url link will appear. if you want the link to the picture put a semicolon after the url, if you want the actual pic-no semicolon. hit enter, if pc, to move cursor to next line. for any additional pics simply repeat...

Images wider than 480 pixels wide will show with scroll bars. Just click on the picture to show the full width. You don't have to do anything special when posting images, just when viewing..

Does that answer your question?.

I think what you are referring to is the ability to have images of different sizes in the post..

This forum does not limit the size of the image you may embed in a message, so... when you upload to the hosting site (in my case photobucket) I specify the image size I want the uploaded photo to be presented in. The largest a free account is able to do on photobucket is 1024x768 but for most that should be more than enough. Typically I am either posting a crop or a full image at 640x480..

I use crops for technical ?s and full images for composition ?s but try to keep it small unless the post actually merits the larger size (noise or sharpness ?s typically)..

All I seem to be able to do is paste in a link as opposed to embedding the picture. Is this a limitation dictated by picasaweb? I have read and followed all the directions in this thread and still no embedding, just linking. I really would prefer embedding an image since it is less work for other posters to view the photo etc. Any help is appreciated!.

It's a little tricky with Picasa Web, but once you get the hang of it, you can hot link your Picasa Web images here. There are other ways to accomplish this, but this is the most straightforward to explain..

- In PicasaWeb, go to the image you want to include in your DPR post.- On the right side of your screen, you'll see a "Link to this Photo" box.- First, select the size you want (choose the largest...800px)- Then, copy the text provided in the "HTML to embed in website" box..

- Paste that text either directly into your DPR post or separately in a text editor.- Remove the following leading text: <a href to <img src="- Remove the following trailing text: " />- Leave as is in your post or paste into your post from your text editor- Voila! Image imbedded from Picasa Web.
