In low light where you only need to print to 4x6 any of these should be fine.terryhttp://tbanet.zenfolio.com/..
I need to be able to produce good pictures in low lightsituations without a flash. (I have a christening coming up soon)I think I have narrowed my search down to the following:Panasonic DMC FX50Canon Ixus 800 IS (whats the difference between 800 IS and 850 IS).
The 800IS has a wide angle lens like the Panasonic..
Canon Ixus 850 ISCanon Ixus 900 TI or 950.
There won't be massive differences between these cameras. The Canons will be a bit better in low light. The ones with IS are the ones to go for, I'd say..
For really good low-light no-flash shots you can't beat the Fuji F31fd, which is in a different league to the cameras here, and it's cheaper. It won't be any better than them in daylight though..
Thank you very much, how does the fuji compare in size, that is one of the things i'm a bit picky with...
Please help, I still havnt bought a new camera yet. It must be good in low light, slim and under 250. Also I would like to buy my 9 yearl old niece a digital camera for christmas, any ideas please?thank you..
1. Nikon S500. (7MP,sharp 3x zoom with I.S., good iQ and low light performance). Value for money..
2. Canon SD870IS (for wide angle, but it does not have optical viewfinder) or 950IS (it has optical viewfinder, helpful in tracking moving subjects in low light).
3. For your niece, what is the budget? Some options are Canon A550/560/570IS, Canon A460,Nikon S200, Fuji F40fd.
