Just wondering if any fellow Medifasters out there have used the Tubro Jam or Cardio Party exercise videos? If so, do you need to increase calories at all? They claim to burn 700 calories in 45 minutes, though I am sure I am not burning that many as my intensity is not the same as those instructors ( I am still learning and very much out of shape).

Just wanted to get anyone else's opinion on the videos with regards to weight loss and eating.

Hi Jean,.

I don't do Turbo Jam or Cardio Party, but I've been doing Tabatas training for several weeks now. It is a very high intensity, short interval kind of work out. If done to the fullest it can burn 'many' calories in one session. I am in the second week of Transition, but have had to limit this workout to two times per week. On other days I do martial arts, yoga or walk. I have consulted a trainer and given my limited calorie intake, he suggested this schedule.

If your workouts are very intense, and you're doing them often, you may want to consider the 4&2 or another plan that gives you more calories/carbs. As always, check with nutrition support on this. And if you search the boards, I think this has been addressed before. At any rate, good for you for taking care of yourself. I hope you find your 'zone' and continue your workouts.

Wishing you much success...

I've done Turbo Jam, Hip Hop abs, and a few others. I love beach body! For weight lifting I use Chealean Xtreme. I don't do them as often as they suggest when on MF, which is six times a week, because they are very high intensity...

I've done Turbo Jam and love it. It's a fun exercise session. I can't speak to the nutrition and frequency part of your question, just that you'll love it. It's so much better than the old style of exercise videos...

I have done Turbo Jam and like it. I wear a hear rate monitor and haven't burn that many calories. Usually around 400 calories for one of the videos is pretty average for me...

*sorry for the late response...but I just wanted to chime in*.

Me and my best friend LOVE beachbody products. Mostly Chalene's stuff, TJ, ChaLEAN Extreme, TurboFire... On the days I worked out hard (1-2 hours), I would just increase my protein intake on my L&G. I also wouldn't strictly measure my food because the weight was coming off, and I felt I deserved to eat as much much veggies and protein my body wanted. On the days I wasn't working out, well, then regular, strict 5&1...

I am a P90x girl but just got Turbo Jam to lighten the load a little. I love it.Found it a little confusing at first but it's fun.I either split my Lg or just add a little protein at dinner but I haven't had any problems burns about 400 cal via HR monitor..Go for it and see how you feel..

I've been getting my rear-end kicked this week by Jillian Michaels! Shred it with Weights alternated with 30-day Shred! She is tough! I'm actually making it ALMOST all the way through Level1! (pitiful ain't it?).

MIA- You are my hero! PX90! WOW! That program just scares the pants off me! I work as an EMT and one thing that all EMT's fear is having to call 911 and have our friends and coworkers respond to us! (I trust them with my life, they are the best, however they do not need to see me naked!) PX90 looks like it has the potential to kill me! LOL It actually is one of my goals, but want to be well into onederland before attempting...
