Onion article that struck me funny. Kind of reminds me of...me! Anyone else feel like this, especially after a tough day at work?.

Sometimes I feel like it but I wouldn't do it. You never know when that one time is going to lead to a week or longer of being off plan. I think for me it's too risky...

I agree. There have been 2 occasions since I've been on Medifast when I thought "I deserve a glass of wine." And each time I ended up having like 3 glasses of wine! Which is especially weird because pre-MF I never had a problem stopping at one glass and had no desire to drink more. Fact is I DON'T deserve a treat - it will only move me further from my goals!.

I will be staying OP for Thanksgiving this year. I already have my food logged for that day! I am afraid if I go off I won't be able to get back on afterward. It's just not worth it...

I had forgotten how much I love The Onion!.

I do sometimes feel like I "deserve" some pampering, but I never felt like I deserved McDonald's or Baskin-Robbins, or whatever. More like I deserve to be able to relax and de-stress..

I do, however, have some very stressful times where I feel like I NEEEED to go to Dave and Buster's. For me, though, that usually means I want to go play the shooting games or the boxing game, not necessarily eat...

I feel that way too sometimes. But you know what? Someone said something on the boards a little while ago to the effect of "I won't remember the food down the road... I'll remember the event." And I couldn't agree more. The "just this once" indulgence is rarely worth it in the end, and rarely worth remembering..

My husband took me out to a fancy restaurant on Saturday night for my birthday, and I stayed entirely on plan there while he ate a gorgeous carb-laden meal. I had a short pang of desire, but suppressed it, realizing that there will be other opportunities down the road in transition if I so choose to indulge. The one thing I do allow myself is a half glass of wine here or there, and have never found it to hamper my progress. In terms of food, though, I have not once succumbed to "just this once" and I'm proud of it!!..

All those "just this once" food moments got me to 258 lbs. Never again...

That's hilarious! Thanks for sharing...

Hmmm... I did have a stressful day, driving home in the snow. Perhaps I should walk to MickeyD's myself?..

You're not in Minnesota by any chance, are you? We had freezing rain yesterday and it's snowing today, so it's now ice covered in snow. I almost did the splits getting out of my car today...

No, I'm in Seattle, and it's winter wonderland here! Buses jackknifed blocking traffic, even with chains, a cab not making it up a tiny hill, a little skidding. We all showed up at work and then after 45 minutes said "forget it!" and drove back home. Hooray!..

Ack! I hope that stuff doesn't find it's way to Portland...

Good luck!!! Although I hope it leaves here soon. Tragically, I had to cancel an appointment tonight for cut and color. *sadness*..

Well, it found it's way to SW Washington. We have 4 inches at our house. So, PDX might be next...

Where do you live? I wanna move there..

Actually, it's 72 here in GA, so I really can't complain...

No snow here in Portland please. Taco Bell was my nemesis. Always found an excuse to eat there. Sure not missing it anymore and has no hold on me. At ceramic class they ran to the border and I just smiled and said no thanks have my puffs. Still loving Medifast!!!..

Anyone in the Seattle area feel the Earthquake 3.1 on the peninsula yesterday? It got down to a chilly 50 degrees in Arizona last night! BRRRR!..

Very funny, but so true of me in the past...
