Yes, I weigh every day since I am a heart failure patient. I log the weigh in and forget about it. When I look back at the chart I go up right before I go down. It is normally up one or two days and down 4 or 5 then it repeats.
All I know is that I am now down over 30 pounds in 7 weeks - however it wants to work it I am thrilled!.
Congrats on your great losses so far!.
Yes.
I have always lost in "spurts "......
Ditto. I'm up 1.3 this morning, but I know it will start dropping again mid week. Not to worry. Especially when it's TOM I always, always fluctuate..
Sure have...and the amazing thing?.
Our bodies have always done this...it is the way it works....
We just weren't paying attention.
(kind of how some of us came to need Medifast - myself included ).
Lol. For whatever reason I can weigh on a Wednesday nothing and then be 2 lbs down the next day... I don't weigh daily b/c it would make me insane..
And I'm always 2-3 lbs heavier at night then I am first thing in the morning..
I lose in spurts too. Also weigh daily (just obsessive that way). Sometimes it's too much salt the day before, sometimes who knows why. TOM always messes with it. Weird thing is sometimes I lose more at TOM. There is probably a biochemical reason. I'm just happy the scale is going down!!!.
Thanks everyone for the comments. I feel better now.
I am so impressed with your success! Wow!.
Oddly I don't fluctuate up as much on this diet. I am not sure why that is? Maybe I am eating less sodium. I do lose in spurts though of several pounds or even just losing consistently over 3-5 days, then it totally stops for at least 2-3 days. It's like my body is regrouping.
I liken it to reprogramming the GPS and it says "recalculating" over and over, then continues..
I get the fluctuations too. I attribute them to TOM, salt intake, the last time I dropped the kids off at the pool, etc. In my head I know they are just normal fluctuations and don't mean anything, but I must admit that they can freak me out a bit.
Because I can't align my logical part with my emotions, I am trying to go from a daily weigher to a weekly weigher. So far I have gone....4 hours since I weighed. FAIL!.
I dont really seem to go up at all but I weigh in on Monday mornings and sometimes I wont lose anything until around Thurs. Then by Monday it's 2-3 lbs and I feel better. This Monday will only be week 3 for me though so maybe thats not a long enough sample....
Yep I'm a spurter too. No rhyme or pattern to it either. Kees ya on your toes.
