So motivated! I know that with this awesome board and my own will making Medifast a habit, I can do this! .

Ok, so I'm really quite nervous. I want this so much, and if I screw it up I'll feel like a total butt.

So I'm going to do it right. Today is the first day of my Medifast life and I know that it works, I know that I'll be happier, healthier, and more confident. I hate feeling guilty for eating anything, so to ease that guilt, I CAN do this. I hate being the "token," so to be normal, I CAN do this. I hate shopping now, so to buy clothes I like, I CAN do this. I HATE being unhealthy, so to live long and see my children grow up, I CAN do this.

I hate being winded from walking up the stairs, so to RUN, I CAN do this.

Guess what??? I CAN DO THIS!!!.

I don't think I could hate the Medifast food anywhere close to as much as I hate those things, so I choose the lesser evil (the PEACH OATMEAL) sitting in my closet.

What do/did(!) you hate about being overweight and unhappy???.

Welcome jolie! trust me...the medifast food gets better with time as you get used to it! .

Good luck with your first week! you have a great attitude! .

Oh and to answer your question: I hated getting my picture taken, my thighs rubbing together when I walked, my knees hurting from the excess weight, and not being able to fit in cute clothes that I love. now 35lbs. later those things are no longer an issue! I love MF!!.

Good luck girl! You are right, you can do this!.

Welcome and Good Luck. stick with the plan and you will be fine...

Welcome to Medifast Jolie! You're doing so well already and it's great that you're so motivated! Good luck!.

From one newbie to another (starting my second week today), you definitely CAN do this! You have the motivation, and there is lots of good info and great support on these boards..

Jolie,.

I am so excited for you! I know you're going to do well. Make sure to drink at last 1/2 your body weight in Ounces of Water. Be sure to rest over the Weekend. I saw your earlier post this week about already preparing your diet to get into Medifast meals, so hopefully your aches and pains of the first few days are limited. Way to go!.

For me, after the first 5 - 6 days and everyday since then, I have been free of the bloat of high-carb foods. What FREEDOM and peace! It's so wonderful to not have to race to the bathroom because I ate the wrong thing! (saw your post about your new meds, too). Take it one step at a time..

Definitely PM me if you need to over the Weekend.

Welcome, welcome, welcome! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!! I speak from experience...I lost 120 lbs in 11 months with MF...went from size 24 to size 8/10!.

What did I hate about being obese? I hated that, everyday, I felt like I wasn't reaching my potential because of limitations (such as the ones you listed). I feel God gives us opportunities and I was wasting mine! Now...I'm fulfilled, joyful and committed to helping others travel this great journey!.

I'm wishing you well on your journeystick with this site as support is key to success!.

Peace & good health,.

Kat.

Thanks so much everyone! The food is not bad at all. Given, I've had a shake and caramel bar so far ( which I would so eat anyways! Yumo). Bout to reheat the soup (soaking since 7:30!) and it smells really good. I'm hungry so after that I may have some celery, but I'm on my next 16oz. of h2o which makes 56 so far. Idk if half my body weight is possible! I'm shooting for 100oz today. Do shakes and soups count towards water?.

I went shopping today for sunglasses and remembered how much I hate really looking into mirrors!.

That's going to change sooner than you think! On the morning of Day 5, while I was washing my face and then brushing my teeth, I realized how much my face/neck had changed in just a few short days. It looks even better now!.

Good luck!! Yes you can do this!!.

Best of luck to you, Jolie!.

The thing I hated most about being fat was the extreme lack of energy and mobility that made me feel at least 20 years older. Now, with over 56 pounds gone, I feel at least 10 years younger..

Hey finally welcome! And cant wait for your success!.

This is AWESOME! When you start to feel down at all, go back and read what you wrote! Inspiring!.

How did your first day go? My went pretty good and I am ready for day 2 now!.

Angelala- It went well. I've been up for about an hour and a half, have had three waters, and just finished my first meal, Chocolate Mint Crunch. Next is a shake and it's soaking now and then going into the blender with coffee and ice. HELLO mocha latte!.

I feel like I've got a little cold, but am thinking that's just the day 2 crud. How much are you going to lose? (started to say trying, but GOING is so much nicer).

Jolie,.

You can and will definately do this!! There are several Medifast items I just love, like the Mint Choc. bars, and cappaccino blended with ice is as good as Starbucks to me.

As far as your question, I hated not being able to keep up with my kids and husband on vacations, I was always 'bringing up the rear', especially if there was any stairs or hiking involved. And taking pictures; we haven't had a family picture done since my twins were about 5, they are almost 10 now! Not to mention my overall health and back issues. I'm only down 18 lbs. but I am feeling better already! .

Go Tigers!!.

Yeah, Sherri! One week til football season officially starts for the Tigers and a Saints game tonight! My FAVORITE time of year. Football beats Christmas hands down..

Just finished my second Medifast meal today, chocolate shake blended with coffee and ice. Dude, it filled up TWO 24 oz. cups. I barely got it all down, but wouldn't let myself go pee before finishing it. THAT's MOTIVATION!.

That's great, Jolie! Good motivator just don't let anyone get in your way on the way to the bathroom.

In just a couple of days you'll be through the hard part of this program and you'll be speeding along towards your goal.

Jolie, you make me giggle! I'm on day 10 now and I remember the mad dashes to the ladies' the first few daysso I know it took some concentrated effort to get that giant drink down before running to the next potty appointment! Hee hee.

Can't wait to see your Wk 1 success!.
