Got my order today, and I'll be honest- I am scared I won't be able to choke the food down. I know alot of posts say that the food is decent, but I have always een skeptical of diet foods! Especially those with meat!! I'm just wondering I any if you out there could motivate me I'm a young mom, with baby weight that needs to go, and I'm terrified, from appearences alone for tbi food, I'm going to fail! I ordered the favories plan.

Anyone else out there starting this week? Anyone new at this and have 20-25 lbs to lose and can tell me what to look forward to this week? And how many lbs you lost?.

Thanks in advance! I hope I can do it!!.

I've found very few things I don't like, but I've never been a picky eater..

Just finished my first week on NS. Cooking (and eating) is my hobby and I was kind of skeptical about how the Nutrisystem food would look and taste. After my first week I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. It's pretty good. I'm a quantity girl and a good trick I've found is to dump out the food from the tray it comes in. I put tonights dinner on a plate and it filled up the whole plate, making me feel I was eating more than that little bowl. Wishing you luck on your journey..

Thanks!!!! That makes me feel better :-) I live in the desert and UPS brought me my scorching hot box- all the chocolate melted! hoping the food didn't spoil, being sealed??.

Ladiemadonna, I have now been on plan for 5 full weeks and am very pleased with nearly all the food. There are a few that I like less than other's but it is great that you can custom order your menu and not have to order stuff you don't like. Also if there is something that you receive in your order that you don't like you can call and they will replace it. Use all the help they offer, they are great!!!! I also dreaded eating certain things that I read people didn't like and actually like them. You will find your favourites and I am sure you will do fine. Welcome to Nutrisystem family..

Ladiemadonna - you will be fine. I thought the same thing but I really like 99% of the food. Only thing questionable for me so far was the meatloaf and mashed potatoes!.

My chocolate was a little melty too, but I put them in the fridge and they taste fine.

I had my one week weigh in this morning and I am down 5 lbs - so well worth the effort and I was telling a co-worker this morning - I do not feel deprived at all and have had no craving!.

Ladiemadonna,.

Don't worry about the foods spoiling. They are all soft canned and will last for quite awhile. The chocolate always melts in the summer. It will resolidify when you get it into the house and/or your refridgerator/freezer. They may be a little mishaped, but will still taste great..

Now, take a deep breath and slowly let it out. It's going to be a great journey. Nutrisystem is a fantastic plan and the food is good. Get yourself a notebook and start a rating of each of the foods you try. Note how you like them straight from the container without adding anything to them. Then, if you don't like it that way search the food tip forums for ideas of ways to enhance them and try a couple of those.

You need to do this with every food that Nutrisystem offers in the plan that you are on.

Use this information so that you can customize your order. Some of the best advice I got before I started was to order and try everything that Nutrisystem offers. And to try it more than once. Also know that your tastes will change as you continue to use the Nutrisystem foods. As you get used to less fat and salt in your food your preferences may change things you didn't like at first may become your new favorites and vice versus. So, after several months on the plan you may want to revisit some of this things you initially took off your order.

Take some time and call and talk with one of the Nutrisystem counselors and go over the meal plan and how to work all the add ins (your veggies, fruits, fat, and protein/dairy). That will also help to decrease your anxiety and you will be sure that you are following the program correctly.

Wishing you much success with your weight loss journey..

Hi, I'm new, too. I'm OLD62, and a single nursing home administrator, and I hope to lose 30 pounds. I'm on the diabetic plan, and I haven't received my order yet, but it's shipped. I worry about getting hungry in the middle of the morning or afternoon. My sugar bottoms out at those times, and I panic and I binge. So let's hope for the best for each other.

Do this for your baby, who needs a healthy mom. Blessings, and good luck. steliz.

When I got my order the chocolate was all melted. Everything else was okay-I just had to throw out some desserts-but I had no problem with anything else..

No Noona62 - don't throw out the desserts - just stick'm in the fridge! They look funny, misshappen, but they're fine otherwise.

And, if in doubt, call a counselor! or customer service..

Im new too. Just waiting for my food to arrive. I had a baby 10 weeks ago and am looking to lose 25-30lbs. Lets do this together. Once the food is shipped how long until you get it? I am anxious to get started and start losing!.

I am on Nutrisystem D and their is a morning snack along with the afternoon snack in the plan to keep the BS from bottoming out. It is Dairy or Protein and a Fruit serving. It is great. Because of these snacks I am not hungry and feel better than I have in a long time. What is the best part though is because of when and what I am eating, I am not binging. Good luck. If you are like me you will feel this is the best decision I could have made for myself..

Hi Ladiemadonna, I am glad to hear you are starting in the morning. I started today and I have 22 lbs to lose. I have been gaining weight since my daugher was born. That was eight years ago. I am worried about time and just being able to stick to this. What type of exercise are you starting with and if anyone out there can recommend what types of exercises worked best for them.

Once I ordered my food it was here in 5 days. Excited to hear simmerang is starting soon too..

My Nutrichocolates came melted into a little lump, but they still tasted awesome..

Hi everyone! I also received my order today and plan on starting in the morning. I want to lose 40 lbs. I'm a little worried about starting tomorrow since I have to have lunch with my boss and several coworkers tomorrow. I'm hoping they have a salad bar. Would it be better to start on Friday?.

Lisa.

I had lunch plans today too. I just took a lunch bar and ordered a salad and green beans. I was so full!.

Pick a day to start and then stick to it. Be sure you have already gone to the store and gotten all the add ins that you will need to complete your meals (check the daily planner that is included in the order to know what you are supposed to be adding. Remember that these are not "if you want thems" ... they are required foods that you need to eat in order to have all the calories and nutrients that you need for the day.

Once you have your Nutrisystem food and your add ins, then pick a starting date and stick to it. There is always going to be as special something coming up... a birthday, a party, a girls night out, a holiday, etc. So don't let the elusive "I'll start after ...." keep you from actually starting the program. If you are ready to start tomorrow do so. If you are not, then start the next day after a shopping trip after work tomorrow.

If you choose to start tomorrow, try taking one of the lunch bars with you and then get a nice salad. If you have a salad bar at the restaurant it will be easy to load up on lots of good veggies. Bring some ff (fat free) salad dressing in a little container with you to use if the restaurant doesn't serve any ff dressing. If they serve you the salads, ask for no croutons and no cheese on the salad. Hard boiled eggs on a salad bar make a good protein to add in. Or you can have a FF greek yogurt either before you leave for the lunch or when you get back (look for one that is 120 calories or less) .

Wishing you much sucess on your weight loss journey..

Thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to pack a lunch bar and I'm pretty sure they have a decent salad bar so I should be good to go..

Lisa.

Try picking up a order or the chicken with Caesar dressing. If you like it, or can eat it (some folks don't like the dressing), that is PERFECT for when you are "on the go." I open the box, and take out the packets.. Then toss them in my purse. Once you get your salad, just dump on the chicken and dressing. There is plenty of dressing for a HUGE salad. At the salad bar just use the unlimited veggies, and toss on a hard boiled egg and you are set!.

If they don't have a salad bar, just order a large garden salad and have them hold the dressing (and cheese)..
