How much did you lose? Probably not worth the hassle for anything under $50...
No just a principle thing. Current portfolio of mine has over 5000 domains using a script would take me all of 5 minutes of free time...
You can spam your own domain all you want. However, the domain you "bought" is not yours yet.
Did the seller change the registrant name to yours?.
Presumably no, in which case, you can not legally spam the domain, since, to reiterate, you don't own it. All you have right now is a sales receipt - that's not the same as owning the domain.
Bottom line, if you really want the domain and feel it's worth the effort, is try to work with the seller to get the domain transferred to you, even if that means paying an extra $50 or whatever, to make it happen. Or otherwise, try to recover your money and move on.
Ron..
Why dont you just dispute with paypal or whatever your method of payment ?
Domagon - Thanks that's what I was thinking also I am just trying to blow off steam I guess because he wants 5,000 from me for a name that I think Is only worth a couple hundred tops.
Webgames247 - Thats what I am doing when the eBay dispute is over they already told me they are more than likely going to dan his account once I get the final descision from eBay then I am going to file the PayPal dispute.
Hey thanks guys in the future I am probable only going to be buying names from NP members...
FYI: I don't think paypal allow any item dispute over 45 days.=, so act fast...
Good luck,..
EBay.com has a vested interest in PayPal.com and are likely to assist in any way that they can. "Offering" domains on eBay is not likely to still be permitted if enough of this happens...
