I just got an email from someone interested in buying my domain. Id say it's worth quite a bit, definitely a seasonal domain but it could make someone some serious money this Halloween season..

The guy simply asked for a price so his team could "determine.

It's overall value to" them..

I'd like to keep it and develop it out, but I'd also like to pay off all my bills now rather than later..

I've never been in this situation before, any advice?..

If you have to ask... yeah. Maybe you should hang onto it. But if not, over estimate on your quote....

They obviously see value in the domain and a potential to make money or else they wouldn't offer you anything. What you have to ask yourself is two things. 1. How bad do I need to pay these bills off? and 2. Do I believe in myself enough to turn down this offer and make way more developing it myself?.

You will always be able to sell it again, so my advice would be to say it isn't for sale (unless they over you WAY more than it is worth) develop it for Halloween (you've got a few months) then if you make bank you can reevaluate your situation and decide if you want to go at it again next season and make some more money or sell it as a developed domain..

If you don't make any money off of it like planned just sell it as a developed domain and you'd probably get even more than what you are being offered now...

Well I just replied asking them to make an offer..

We'll see how it goes...

Hi PfGannon,.

I'm new to Affiliates stuff but I do have some knowledge with Domains. I've domaing for 2 years and making a living from that. shoot me a pm and I'll evaluate and make a suggestion or 2 if you want..

I have sold domains from low $xx to mid x,xxx. and currently have a micro portfolio of just over 300 domains. I'll share some knowledge with you cause I'm sure I'm gonna be asking a lot of questions in this forum so eventually i'll probably need your help..

Thanks,..

Reply and say "Honestly, I'm not really looking to sell this domain as it's an integral part of our online business plans for the future.

However, feel free to make an offer and we'll certainly give it some consideration"....

If you say sure it's for sale, they may ding you for squatting...

Maybe get it appraised? It'll give you a ballpark number to inflate...

Do some research and see what similar names are selling for..

Take an average to see if this is an amount that you can live with..

Use an escrow account if the amount is large and is accepted by the parties interested..

If small may be best to use PayPal..
