Weigh my Lean & Green after its cooked?

I feel so stupid!! I just found out (after starting my third week) that I have been doing my my lean and green wrong. I have been weighing my green and then cooking it. Not supposed to do that!! You are suposed "to eat it how you weigh it". Now I know and now maybe my weight will come off a little quicker! I happy with the 7.3 I'm down, but of course that makes me hungry for more!!.

Unfortunately you're not the first one that has done this. Good thing you figured out the difference and weighing in the state that you eat it..so if you're eating raw vegetables, weigh it raw..if you're cooking your vegetables, weigh it after it's cooked..

I understand how vitamins are lost through cooking, but how would it affect weight loss?..

I believe it's because you are not getting enough...if I weighed it first then cooked it, it would cook down and not be the same as I measured it. So, I think my body was in starvation mode. Glad I figured it out!!..

I was weighing my greens in ounces in the beginning and therefore eating wayyy too much! The first few weeks are a learning period for sure!..

The only exception I recently found out is if you are cooking to the point of dehydrating the veggie - like kale chips and such. Dehydrated veggies you weigh raw before you dehydrate them...
