I have never gotten the "burst of energy" some get on MF, but I started taking sublingual B12 vitamins daily and felt better. But now, omg, I don't know why but I am just exhausted all the time. I have zero energy to take a walk or even go out this week. I'd just sleep if I didn't have kids to care for!.

I took the B12 twice today and am drinking some coffee right now to try and wake up. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions for energy??.

I know how you are feeling. If I didn't have my daughter, I could easily lay around all day. I too, have seen talk about this sudden burst of energy...but I've been doing this for 10 weeks and have yet to experience it. I think I am going to try the B 12, because I have resorted to Diet Mountain Dew to get my caffeine fix! Sorry I was of no help to you...just needed to vent and let you know that you aren't the only exhausted Medifaster!!!.

My energy comes and goes. I am starting to feel like I may be more sensitive to stress while on MF. Like I have fewer resources, and so I'm living close to the edge all the time. When I have more stress, it seems to just cripple me. In a way it did not do before MF..

No reserves, you know?.

I feel you. I am really. Really. Tired. Today..

Are you saving all your lean and green for dinner or are you splitting it during the day? I have found that I have to eat some protein earlier in the day or I am wiped out. So, I will eat an egg with my Medifast breakfast or some low fat turkey slices at lunch or a string cheese at some point. Of course, I count it toward my lean. It does seem to help me feel at bit perkier..

Me too. Wow, some days it's like, wow hope a can get dinner fixed for the fam and make it until 8 pm. Sad. Fog in the head some days, all day. I think your right on the "no reserves" issue..

Splitting the L&G is a good plan. That might help me. I do that on extra hungry days but maybe I should on extra tired days, too. A can of tuna might perk me up..

I have never really gotten that big energy burst either. I still feeling pretty much as tired now as I did before. I do have some good energy days, but I had those before too. Do you have health conditions that may cause it Sandy? I have fibro and do my own B12 shots weekly. It helps for a day or so but still not huge. Iron and Vit D are huge for energy if you're low in them..

I'm in the same boat. I can maintain, but some days are REALLY difficult. I think having small children doesn't help this (just like if I had a pretty demanding "paying" job). I have noticed that on the days I get some cardio in the rest of the day I have a TON of energy. I have to balance this out the next day, though, cause if I don't eat a little extra my energy sucks. It's all a balancing act.

At least I hope? Life is tiring anyways... yes, yes it is!.

I feel the same way..

Not sleeping good anyway but in a real fog lately..

I have been splitting my L & G but still tired throughout the day..

I really have to force myself to get things finished..

What could be causing it? I was on Medifast a few years back and felt like I had so much energy I couldn't sit. Did they change the formula since then?.

It would be nice to know why?.

I drank my coffee, took my B and D vitamins, ate half my L&G and then I had a LITTLE more energy... just enough to slowly walk my little girl to the park (3/4 mile round trip) and now I am exhausted again!! I dunno, maybe this tired feeling is enough to make me kick it into high gear and get this weight off a little faster so I can be done with it and have some oatmeal and a banana once in awhile..

I've never felt the burst of energy. Some days are brutal, some are OK. I take really good B vitamins, Flax Oil capsules, Biotin, Vitamin D, and my regular meds. Extra water helps sometimes, and then I feel like dehydration is the culprit. Other days, no. Got me!!! .

Good luck to us all.... no rest here, with a 6 year old to "play" with. In fact, we're headed to the pool right now!!.

I have 4 children- 14, 8, 6 (severely autistic), and 4 and I am WIPED out all the time. I mean all the time. I take several supplements including B12 to no avail. I wish there was some magic cure for it. My 4 year old still gets up at night a lot and my autistic one is not the best sleeper anyway, so functioning on lack of sleep is not helping to be sure.

I am the opposite in that if I work out I am just comatose the rest of the day. It makes it worse and me hungrier for sure. I do wish there was some answer. I used to look forward to bed time and having some "alone" time, but alas I am too tired for alone time. Sigh..

Lyn,.

I'd get your iron checked. Lots of lean choices you make are not high in iron. It's hard to absorb too.

Feel better..... all of you who are feeling sluggish! <3.

Have you had your thyroid checked Lyn?.

I was first diagnosed with underactive thyroid at the age of 40 and the fatigue was what got me to the doctor to check it out..

Thanks teagranny, good thought about the iron. I think I'll make myself a STEAK tomorrow!.

Allison, I did have my thyroid checked and it was fine. My D was low tho and I was taking a bunch of D but slacked off because it's summer and I am outside a lot. I think I ought to get back to taking a higher dose..

Have you checked your blood pressure. I was having a problem with being really tired and found out my blood pressure was 58/60. way too low and the reason I was tires. I hope you feel better soon.

I have to admit my housekeeping efforts have diminished since MF. But that's OK. It won't last forever. Someday I'll be thin and then I'll worry about keeping the house clean. I do have energy enough to work and care for my daughter and to exercise so that will just have to be good enough fo now..

I get B-12 shots weekly and it does help. I get them from the fact I have a bunch of food allergies and can't eat the stuff that has B12 in it..
