Does anyone have a recipe on how season them without butter? I LOVE shrimp...and the butter that goes with it......

I love shrimp! one thing to watch for, when you are being super vigilant about your day, is that shellfish have carbs. very few, mind you, but higher than your landlocked proteins. I believe scallop have more than shrimp..

Boil them up with some "Tony's", "Slap Yo Mama" or any other creole/cajun seasoning, mix them with your favorite greens and OP salad dressing...really yummy and filling lean & green..

Saute in a teeny bit of EVOO and some spices like blackened spice or garlic. Grilled the same way is also great, specially over a green salad, and I don't use any EVOO that way. (If you use a non stick pan, you don't need much EVOO!).

The way I usually prepare my shrimp is I get them fresh living here in florida and I love cocktail so I bring water to a boil and add a few bay leaves and fresh lemon wedges and about a TBSP of peppercorns to the water then add the shrimp and boil just 1-2 minutes or until shrimp floats.....really adds some flavor to the shrimp then using SF catsup add some horseradish and you have your cocktail sauce......you do get a mess of em. If you prefer them hot fix the same way as cold and I use Paul Newmans lite asian ginger dressing on them awesome 2 TBSP is one healthy fat ENJOY and shrimp is listed on the Leanest List under "SHELLFISH".

I have been making kabobs with raw jumbo shrimp. Add veggies, I've used mushrooms, zucchini, yellow squash, peppers (red, yellow, orange, green). I don't need anything on the shrimp, but my DH likes to sprinkle flavorings. We have a seafood seasoning that tastes good. Once the shrimp is mixed up with the veggies, it really doesn't need anything else, in my opinion. Then grill until the shrimp turns pink..

Do a web search for "Emeril's Essence" and make up a batch of the seasoning. Sprinkle and saute/bbq, enjoy!.

I use a SF terriyaki sauce that I LOVE with shrimp and veggies..

I use different Mrs. Dash seasonings or the Emeril's Essences mentioned above..

Wow ladies...such great recipes! I also purchased SF ketchup last week and it was wonderful and only 1 carb for 1 TBSP. I will give them all a try!!.

I put them in the steamer and sprinkle some Old Bay on them and then steam the seasoning right in while the shrimp cooks. YUM! Then I get some exercise in beating the kids back off my shrimp..
