Hello, this is my first post here please excuse my english..
I'm starting photography and this is the first camera I want to buy.I did some research on the internet and around my budget I came upwith a choice between the Canon A570 and the Fujifilm S700 for mybudget * around 200$ +/- *.
I'm looking for a camera that's got some manual modes and those twohave exactly that..
The main difference is the size .. plus the fuji got 10x optical zoombut the canon got IS..
I know nothing about cameras and aperture and all the technical terms..
Could you please help me decide ? which one is better..
If you have another suggestion plz let me know.
Best Wishes, Ajayhttp://picasaweb.google.com/ajay0612..
Here is a review link for the Kodak. It does have maual control. Rgrds, Kevin.
Both are great choices. My philosophy is to get the one that feels best. That way you will take more pictures, learn more features, and become a better photographer..
I included my personal files on each camera so you will have access to all the documentation and customer service links..

This one I can help you on..
The Fugi S700 was a nice camera. You may find it Wal-mart and give it a shot for say 14 days and still take it back. Only open the camera so they can resell it..
I was a good camera. It uses 4 AA batters with a lot of life. The sensor tho is what appears to be a standard 1/2.5. Some of my pics were great like flowers and people close up. Other like back yard shots in good light and high F stop still were so-so. I has a lot of setting and is good if this is your price range..
Don't forget the $50 rebate from Fugi!!!!!.
I am working with the Kodak 712 IS It too has the same sensor size 1/2.5 My main grip so far is the batteries. If you get recharge Li it would be cheaper in the long run. The camera only uses two AA and maybe gets say 50 shots from a set of NIMH batters..
As for the 570 it too has the same sensor size BUT I have not used it so if you can get it a WalMart then you can test drive it from there..
Good luck and keep us posted...
Both the Koday 712 and Fuji S700 have manual modes..
THANKS does it have manual mode?..
I have the a570. If you get this camera then I would recommend hybrid rechargable batteries. I have Sanyo Eneloops. I really love the IS and recommend it. I am very pleased with this camera but I have no experience with the other ones mentioned here...
