Why would they (or anyone) want DomainTable?.
It would absolutely be of no use to them...
That's not the answer to my question. If you have no idea what the question is, please do not answer...
I think Triclorro understands your question better than you do...
I don't see how this is a TM issue because "Domain Table" will not be confused with "Domain Round Table" and really makes no sense.
I haven't selected you as judge my dear.
Topic can be locked..
IMHO DomainTable can be a problem towards DomainRoundTable. But that's if they see it's worth making an issue, and I rather agree with tricolorro.
It may not be the answer you seek, but it's an answer nonetheless. Feel free to choose whatever answer suits you, even if someone else disagrees and might be in a stronger position to make a point.
Then again, it's probably moot if DRT indeed doesn't show any interest whatsoever. Enjoy...
@ Dave Zan.
I have contacted DRT to see if they are interested in this domain...
...which of course defeats the purpose of trying to sell it to DRT on the proposition that it would be useful to them in any way.
But whether or not you believe it to be confusingly similar, the entire point of Abdul's OP is "everyone knows about" Domain Roundtable and so he thinks they might be interested in the same name without "round" in it.
If the point is to offer them some dissimilar interesting domain name, then he might as well offer them ICanHazDomain.com.
Leaving aside Abdul's apparent ignorance that "roundtable" is not merely some type of table, but in the relevant context conveys the meaning of a meeting for the purpose of discussion among peers (based on the Arthurian legend of knights meeting at a round table at which no person is the "head"), for what conceivable reason would one believe the domain is of any value to DRT but for it's glancing similarity based upon the appearance of the words "domain" and "table" in it. What other motivation would there be for registering the domain name and then seeking to sell it to DRT? As you note, the domain name makes no coherent sense apart from such a motivation.
And of course that is the bleedingly apparent motivation here, rendered more apparent in the notion that Abdul suspects there might be enough of a problem to have posted the question in the first place. Let's not be silly.
And, Abdul, this is a public discussion forum, not your personal support forum. Anyone is free to comment on any posting they'd like and to express whatever opinion they would like...
Thanks for your detailed message. As you can see I just needed answer to my question and not opinions.
Once again thank you very much..
