Hi everyone I need some advice. I am only day 6 and so far all you have told me is true my headaches went away and my appetite is under control for the most part. The problem I am having is getting all the protien in at my lean and green meal ! I was never that into eating alot of meat for me it's a condiment. I can probably manage about 4 ounces at a time. I was wondering if it was alright to maybe eat some the protien with my lunch like have 2 oz with my soup or shake ?? Anybody have any advice for this ?? I appreciate whatever you have to say. Thanks.

You can split your L&G however works for you. Just so you eat one lean and 3 green servings during each 24-hour period..

Absolutely you can split just the lean if you like or both your lean and green. Just whatever your do never split your healthy fat. Per Nutrisystem you must take that at once..

I'm not under the impression that splitting your healthy fat is a life-and-death thing on an occasional basis. My understanding is that it's for gall bladder health - that your gall bladder needs to get enough fat at once to trigger it to release it's stored bile, and that it's best if this happens every day. So I think if you eat them together at least most of the time you should be fine..

Of course I'm not a doctor, but it seems to me that your organs have a little wiggle-room for most things..

NS has stated multiple times even if you have no gall bladder you need your HF at one time because of how your body works and how it uses certain fat soluble vitamins. I'm not in that field either so I just repeat what the experts tell me..

I split my lean and green most days. For instance today I had 2 oz of shrimp on an Medifast oatmeal "bun" for lunch and tonight I'll have 5 oz of tilapia..

IF you look at SooperMommy's Blog she has an excel spreadsheet with the breakdowns for splitting your leans.

Totally split it up then! Yes, you can do that and it's still OP.

Healthy fats should be consumed bolus for gallbladder health. Considering how many dieters end up getting their gallbladders removed, I wouldnt play around with this one, AT ALL, imho..

And if your not a meat eater you can do things like 4 lite string cheese (check the fat content to be sure and get the right portion). Pop in the microwave for a minute for a ooey gooey substitute for meat. I use some SF raspberry syrup as my dip..

Well that sounds frightening enough. I have mine together 99% of the time. The only exception is when I have scallops or crab, and then I have 1/2 of a healthy fat to flavor the fish and the other 1.5 at night. But I very much want to hang onto my gall bladder. And all the other squishy inside parts..

You also don't have to eat meat for protein and can use other foods, if you find that easier. Low fat cheese, cottage cheese, ricotta, etc are on the meatless options list (with eggs).

If your not a big meat eater, try something meatless such as an egg white omelet, 1% cottage cheese, etc..

I love everyone's comments and the help it is giving me. I have been afraid to split my L & G because I wasn't sure how. I am off to check out ScooperMommys blog..

Question, where do I find the healthy fats that I should get every day. I am been doing shakes and bars and a meat potion and dry salad or veggies for my L & G (at dinner only)..
