Seriously, why don't you read the reviews on this site, or onhttp://www.Steves-Digicams.com, or onhttp://www.DCResource.com, or onhttp://www.Imaging-Resource.com, compare the pros and cons in their conclusions, and make up your mind?.
The opinions that me or other people in this forum give you will always be individual opinions, whereas the opinions the reviewers give on their web pages are far more informed...
I am looking for a digital camera for about 300$.It doesn't have to be slim or anything.. (I am not concerned aboutthe size or weight). I am going to take pictures both indoors andoutdoors. So far, I havenarrowed my search to 3 models :1. Canon A720 IS.
It is better if you need to shoot moving subjects (especially indoors) as it has optical viewfinder for live tracking action..
2. Canon Powershot SX100 IS.
Better bang for bucks overall..
3. Sony CYBERSHOT DSC-H3.
Avoid as it has poor low light performance, lower res. LCD, less controls and does not have automatic lens cap..

I just went from numerous Canon Powershots to a Nikon D40X. All of my Canon digitals from the past years are still working perfect and produce very good photos for under $300. I still carry a PS A75 in my Nikon bag. I like the AA batteries and CF cards. You can find them anywhere you go if you need more. Darrell..
Thanks a lot for your replies.. I had read lots of reviews and was getting confused between so many models. thats why I wanted the opinion of some users. But I think I'll go for one of the Canons...
I agree that getting user views is great. You will find the most user reviews over on the Amazon site..
