I`d like to have a dslr camera but I d`nt have enough mony to buy it..
On a total irrelevant note (maybe not entirely, they were using the Nikon D2X), check out the article with Carmen Electra and Bai Ling shooting at the Force of Nature Concert for Tsunami Aid at Stadium Putra in Malaysia with Nikon D2Xs...
In my earlier years, I loved photography and bought several cameras. My favorite 35 mm was a Nikkormat EL that I used for years and have five lens for the bayonet lens... I packed everything up and stopped using my cameras about 25 years ago. Can these lens be used on the Nikon D2Xs?.
Thanks for your help,.
Peter..
Hi can anyone tell me why my studio flash dont sync, with my D2Xs, the only setting that works is- f7.1 @ 125 anyothere setting is around two stops too dark.

P Buck..
Ive just bought a nikon d2xs can anyone tell me if they own one and how they perform..
You can't sync stidio flash the camera does not control it's output! you have to use a light meter take a reading close the the subject and shoot in manual mode..
Hi.
I have owned a D2X for just one year and have found it to be every bit as good as they say it is.
The only thing it possibly lacks is a full frame sensor but to be honest the quality of the pictures I have been getting are superb.
I am not what you would call a 'Proffesional' photographer (whatever that is) but I do a heck of a lot of work for many different charities for their advertising campaigns (posters, booklets, leaflets, websites and the usual circulars)and for my own portfolio as well, of course.
The camera has not once let me down even under very trying conditions.
It is built like a tank yet handles like a F1 racing car.
I have had so many cameras over the years and this is the best so far.
Many Canon owners will probably give you a different story but I always say 'each to their own'.
One other thing, try not to spend loads of money on top Nikon lenses unless you just won the lottery. I have found that the new Sigma AF Nikon Fit lenses are realy realy extremely good and only one third the price of the Nikon lenses.
Last thing, don't bother trying to do infra red with this camera as Nikon have put a filter over the sensor to cut down infra red pollution and it works very well ( some would say TOO WELL if you want to do infra red ).
It is the dogs wotsits! and I hope you will soon find that out for yourself.
Good luck and good fortune...
