I am interested in 2 digital cameras.

ONe is this Nikon cool pix L11, AND THE OTHER is Canon Power Shot A300.

I have been doing a google search and comparing both of them.

I like the nikon that is has a larger lcd screen (2.4).

Seems like the reviews on it for batteries lasting long are good.

I had a problem with my old camera kodak easy share cx6330 batteries never lasted.

Which one is the better camera. Mainly use camera for family and vacations. Want a quality camera that takes clear pics, easy to use, one that doesn't burn batteries and best for the $...

I noticed that too, most of the pics they showed were blurred.

Was concerned about that too.

Please let me know I am interested in this camera and a Canon POwer Shot A300...

I am also very interested in what people think of the focus with the L11- I bought one about 3 weeks ago and still cannot get reliable macro focus at any distance and find that alot of my 'happy snaps' of friends both in natural light and under incandescent globes to be 'iffy' at best- not very crisp at all. I was thrilled to get my L11 at such a bargain price as I decided my 2megapixel Nikon coolpix 2100 needed an upgrade- it was the perfect easy to use camera- with a surprisingly fantastic macro function- I have some flora shots taken as close as 4cm from the lense! so I am disappointed that it is so tricky to get a clear photo with my new L11. any advice? should I be asking the chain store where I purchased it to check that mine isn't faulty?.

Est* edit: also "both in natural light and under incandescent globes" and I neglected to mention with and without flash- the flash seemed to make full body shots (head to toe) even more blurry- to the point where there was little or no detail in the face...
