Wow, looks cool. This could be a cool pocketable camera if the price is right...

All other features of Nikon Coolpix 2500 is perfect for me.

But the Video output.

I've seen your review and Nikon's site several times, it seems that there's no Video(NTSC) output for TV on Nikon Coolpix 2500.

I like to see the pictures just taken on TV with the Video output signal. It's very easy and fast way to share the pictures with lots of people at once and my family have been enjoyed to see the pictures on TV.

Could you please confirm that there's no Video(NTSC) output?.

And if it's possible to have an alternative possibility to see the picture on TV?.

Please tell me.

I put my pictures on a VCD to view on TV via my stand alone DVD player. It's also handy for keeping a backup of Hi Res images. Downside is you need a DVD player and a CD writer...

What a great idea... the pictures will be in CD anyway, why not make it into a VCD.. planning to get this camera, but reviews all over the net says that this camera performs poorly in low light area, would like to see some night pictures first, if any one got some, could you share it with me? This is my first digi cam by the way.....

Unfortunately, there is no TV out on CoolPix 2500...

I like the swivel lense - great for self portraits The excellent macro too -.

Thinking about exchanging my S330 for this, since it's macro is horrible..

We bought a camera and were terribly disappointed to learn that one cannot buy an extra battery anywhere, including Nikon. The company advised that they had no immediate plans to sell additional batteries. We are planning to take a major holiday trip, and now think we will return the camera. Battery life is short, trips and expensive and this doesn't work very well...

Someone posted this There IS a spare battery, and it's in Jessop's on-line catalogue with the stock number of NIKC2500BP...

I have had this camera for two weeks, I ran out and bought it after spending an evening comparing and researching it. I simply love it, it's designed perfectly. The battery always lasts for me, I constantly expect it to be dead and it constantly surprises me. The design is great for me, it certainly is cute and eye-catching. I love the size of it, smaller than the olympus camedia I used to use, small and light enough to fit in any pocket and still large enough to actually feel like a camera instead of a matchbox or something like some of those sonys. The lack of a tv-out doesn't personally bother me, and I hadn't even thought of it until I read some of the comments on here, I can't imagine wanting to see my pictures on a tv, the pictures transfer to my computer in seconds, and my computer isn't the fastest.

Also, while the battery seems to last long for me, it does expire of course, I just wish I didn't have to take it out of the camera to charge it. Since the battery, the camera and the charger are all made my nikon, it would be nice to just be able to plug something right into the camera to charge it up. Ok, I've gone on far too long...

About the battery again, well it does exist - I searched on the net and I found it on Yahoo

I've also bought this camera.

Although it's very cool en fast, I have some complaints, which is good to know I guess. It is not possible to focus manually, this camera is focusing always on the first point. The battery lasts very long, on they say about 190 pictures, so that is very good. The battery is fully charged in 2 hours. But, I simply hate it, that the Coolpix gives you a warning about low-life battery, when I can just take 2/3 pics! So I don't know when to charge it.. And last: Be sure to test your memory speed in store.

It was indeed very fast. But when the memorycard got full, it became VERY slow. When I had over 80 pics on the camera, deleting of a picture costed me over 20 seconds! Absurd! I got back to that store, where I've bought it, and exchanged the memorycard for a cheaper brand, Hercules. 80 euro.

Faster/Expensive memory is indeed faster, but this only counts for 4 or 5 megapixel cameras. For a 2 megapixel, it could be even slower than cheap memory. So, please test your memory in store, by shooting over 80 pics. No tv-out, no sound, just one format movie (*.mov), only 15 seconds. But, the rest of the camera is really perfect, good and easy to use! Have fun!..

Just bought the 2500. Question some shots are blurry. Took them at different settings and some look clear and some are blurred. Same happens with certain settings-any movement and blurred. Anyway to adjust shutter speeds? Is it a damaged camera? Also how can you sync the flash? Didn't come with manual. Help appreciated. Thanks...

Is it normal to have a irregular noise in zoom mechanics?.

Other camera like canon ixus have a very regular bzzz in same condition...

There is no video (NTSC)output!!!! Very disappointing.

Shopped around for over three weeks to find the camera for vacation and events. We plan on posting pics on our web site and emailing to friends.

So, I bought this camera last night and love it despite the fact that IT HAS NO VIDEO OUTPUT!!!!!! It is truly easy to use. Very intuitive. I love the scene menu. I spent 30 minutes reviewing the camera and have it all ready to take any picture on our trip to Sedona this week. Pics of the landscape, pics indoors of friends, pics outdoors at the re commitment ceremony, and (my favorite) close-up pics of flowers showing all their details.

It is true that the indoor lighting is not the best, but for the price it was the best camera for us.

We like the lithium battery (no more eating AAs), the size, and quality of the pictures.

It'd be a true winner if it had video output!..
