I am on week three and feel amazing! I am never tired!..
I usually get a confirmation and tracking number within a day or two. Then it takes anywhere from three days to two weeks to actually show up.
Spend some time really getting to know all the materials listed under Success Tools, it'll make the whole thing easier when you get to start. Especially important, and helpful, are the vegi guides which have all the measurements in grams.
Some MF'ers suggest lowering your carb intake while waiting for your order. Cut out the bread, pasta, potatoes, et al.. and your transition to Medifast food will be a lot easier.
Wish someone would've told me...
Hope this helps!..
You can also log back into your account (click on the shop online tab on the top right of this page) and go into your account to see tracking information. I generally find a tracking number there before any emails come to me. I get my food so quickly (since I live in Maryland - lucky me) that I get my package before the email most times...
I placed an order on Monday afternoon and received my food today! Oh, and I live in the Atlanta area...
After I decided I wanted to do MF, I read all about it and started eating on a Medifast schedule. I bought 100 calorie packs of different foods and SF pudding etc. I know the carb count was not like Medifast but it got me started eating 6 times a day, 5- 100 calorie packs and one L & G plus multi vitamin everyday. My first week of actual Medifast was not that tough??..
Welcome! I just started on Friday and I'm liking it so far..
While you're waiting you might want to transition to drinking a lot of water, I've seen several people mention it is very hard to drink all of the water required. Pick up a digital scale to weigh your food. Also, before pictures, weight, and measurements are a good thing, there is a spot on the website to enter them.
A couple of handy things I've come across in my first week are. (medifast "Things I wish I knew when I started" thread). (.pdf file of vegetable cup to gram conversion file).
Don't let the waiting talk yourself out of getting started, putting things off til the next day is one of the reasons we're in the situation we are in right now!..
You sound just like me, when I was waiting for my first order. I thought it would never arrive I was ready to get started, and I was nervous it wouldn't come in time for my planned "first day"!.
Good luck, do lots of reading on this site and don't be afraid to ask questions. People here are very friendly and they know *everything* there is to know about MF...
My first order will be here, according to the tracking number, on the 11th. I had hoped it would be here in time for me to begin Monday the 11th, but oh well. I guess I will be starting on Tuesday unless it arrives early. I am also anxious to begin. It has been a long process (almost 2 months) of laboring back and fourth as to weather I should start and Im so glad I finally decided to jump on board! I think 90% of the battle is being mentally prepared for such a huge change, and for that reason, I'm glad I waited because now I truely feel like Im ready! I wish you the best of luck!..
After I ordered I started then not when the food got there. Lower your carb and calorie intake. Start drinking lots of water...
Congrats to you for getting started. I'm glad that you decided to join us. Their is nothing as fantastic as MF...
Thank you all for the help and support, I really appreciate it! I ordered on the 5th and it won't get here till the 13th Oh well...I'll live. Add me so we can help each other out! Good luck everyone!! I'm so excited for a new me and a new life!!!..
