Medium Format Film
OK, I just finished off to rolls of 120 film for my Holga. Now what?.

Drop the Holga and the films in a recycling bin and buy a camera...

MMMmmmm.... Yes... really and truthfully, with this I agree. There are now much cheaper ways of getting poor quality photographs.Regards,Baz..

Why not go back to the people who sold you the roll film and ask them? If they sell it then someone locally must develop and print it. BTW, that's what you ask for and ask the cost as well... Then decide..

It all depends on what kind of film you shot..

Don't let the negative comments about the Holga put you off it. The toy cameras have a cult following. Granted, they aren't for everyone. I do know one pro in particular that shoots nothing but a Holga and he makes a good living selling nothing but true B&W fine art prints shot with his Holga..

Why would you ask this on a digital forum? To stir up the digital boys, I assume, good luck. Go to a MF site if you actually are serious. If not, happy stirring, they take it all pretty seriously!Steve-Seattle.

Trust me, it will be cheaper if you do it yourself. get a tank for $5 on ebay and develop away..

All info about developing times and temperatures for any combination of film/developer you can get athttp://www.digitaltruth.comIrakly Shanidzehttp://www.shanidze.com/en..

People don't know where you are, so it's optimistic to expect them to say where to get film developed. B&H and many other photo outfits may provide a mail-in service..

Mind you it was pretty optimistic expecting to get an answer about film from a digital forum. .

Ah well, just be happy that no one asked you if the 120-film has USB- or FireWire-connections There's no problem so big that you can't run away from it!..

Hi,.

Let us know how you got on. Some of us out here still use film in MF and 35 mm (B&W and colour negative and reversal) and know the problem you have..

You should try finding someone who will D&P Ilford FP4 Plus or else try getting Tesco's to do a cassette of Kodak BW400CN... (That was joke btw.).

Yeah, I mail ordered the film from B&H, but didn't know if local consumer stores could process it...

If it was a real camera i'm not sure he'd have got the response he did but we are talking about a holga here, it's a complete waste of money putting 120 through one of these, medium format cameras aren't all that expensive, get a real one...

This thread has gotten me interested in pulling my old Mamiya Super 23 out of the closet. Of course, I'd then have to set up a darkroom. All though there are still plenty of places to get 120 film developed and I could then scan the negatives. I wonder how the IQ would compare to the 3008x2008 out of my Pentax? I guess Mamiya does make a digital for under $10,000..

Yeah, I've been thinking of upgrading:.

Probably very well, MF doesn't have anything to worry about from a 6MP APS-C digital, if only pentax would make up their minds on the 645D, then you could have the best of both worlds...

And there's the Sinar Hy6 or the Hasselblad H3DII-39....

Seriously, it worries me that the little Panasonic/Leica thing turns out just the same quality (up to a point say A4) as my Bronica with 120 film in it. How do I justify keeping the Bron?.
