Hang in there pal!! You can do it!! I was feeling the same way, but I am almost at goal and I started transition on Monday. I want to be finished by year end...
It sounds like you are in self perpetuating cycle that's sabotaging you. Your losses slowed so your got discouraged, and that lessening of your motivation caused you to eat off plan. Eating off plan slowed your losses even more, which made you continue to eat off plan, which slowed your losses even more! Oh no!.
In addition to slowing your losses, off plan eating might have opened a door to options and choices you weren't quite ready for, further complicating your efforts..
If you'd like to stick with Medifast, maybe you could commit to two weeks of solid on plan eating. At the end of two weeks, you'd hopefully be rewarded with a motivating loss. If not, you could re-evaluate your decision to continue at least knowing you gave the plan another shot..
If you do decide to switch plans or take a break from dieting, you might consider doing at least a shortened transition, just so you don't regain the weight you worked so hard to lose..
You have done so well, and no matter what you decide, please know that you've already shown that you do have the strength and will to get to goal, if not now then someday!..
Keep on keepin' on Dave. It isn't an easy journey but it is so worth it in so many ways. Maybe don't think about how much more you have to go. Just get from one meal to the next without going off plan. 2-3 hours at a time. I find that much easier than thinking too far down the road except to visualize myself at a healthy weight for the first time in 8 years...
Yeah, I know what you are saying and probably alot of us here do. I have been in a stall for amount 3 weeks. BUT, we are not gaining weight. That is a big thing for me. I am still getting compliments, clothes are smaller and shopping has been fun. With that said, I refuse to go off this diet until I get to 120 lbs! That is my goal, no matter how long it will take.
Stay focused and remember your feeling better, looking better, taking care of your family better by getting healthier. Stay focused, Brother...
I feel for you Dave! I am in the EXACT same boat and have been for the last few months. I am not gaining, but I am not losing these last 15 lbs. I can stay on plan for a few days but then I eat something off plan because I am doing too much resistance training and need some additional energy. It makes me feel better knowing you are experiencing the same thing, so knowing that you are going to make the final push will motivate me to do the same. Keep the faith brother!..
