During the first week of this diet, does everyone feel stuffed to the gills after their L&G meal? I have mine for dinner and DH says it's because I've had much less food during the day that, of course, I'll feel stuffed after meat and veggies in my stomach. Only me?????..

You're right it can be too filling sometimes! I think I only had a few days of 1 l&g before I started splitting them in half...

I split mine in half! As you get used to being on Medifast you will get the nooks and crannies lol..

I should totally do that. Have one half for around 2pm when I'm starving and save the rest for later. You all are so smart!!! I'm glad to have you as a resource!..

The first few weeks I couldn't wait for the L&G and could have eaten three of them. Now it's an effort to finish it. The same amount seems huge now but at the beginning it couldn't compare to the pure amount of food I was eating before MF...

Gigi you are so right! I look back at the meals I ate pre-MF and OMG I couldn't imagine finishing them off now!.

I don't split mine but I am certainly stuffed..

Well let me make a small correction - if I was having L&G with either just the eggwhites as my lean, or tuna as my lean, I split it. No if's ands or butts. Even if it's just the protein part. That much quantity is just too much now..

Oddly enough I can easily polish off the 6 ounce chicken breast with diced cukes and 'maters and wished I had a little more.... of the veggies! LOL! If I was to have an "addicition" to a food item and just crave more, I'm glad it's the veggies though LOL!..

I get stuffed with my L&G also. Sometimes I feel like I am forcing myself to finish it. I have thought about splitting it up buy I haven't because it is just so much easier to just pack my Medifast packets to take to work. My DH says the same thing about the stomach shrinking all day till I get a big meal at night...

I usually split mine, especially since I'm always extra hungry in the afternoon, so I'd have 1/3 of my lean and 1 green about 2 hours after lunch and then a couple hours later I'd have my mid-afternoon snack. That way I wasn't starving by dinner for my L&G which was 2/3 lean, 2 green and my healthy fat (if needed). That habit has made transition work really well for me too. I was surprised how not hungry I've been since I got out of ketosis...

This is the last day of my first week, I weigh in at the center today, and my hunger has been very satisfied for the most part. I usually have my afternoon bar @ 2.5 hours instead of waiting for 3. But last night, I made an omelet with the Egg Beaters and it was way, way too much food! I finished it but I was still uncomfortably full in the late evening when it was time for dessert (caramel crunch bar). I had to forego it or I would have made myself miserable. I know you aren't supposed to skip a meal but.

I think the Egg Beaters are going to be saved for a day when I've had a very active day or when I'm very hungry...

It depends on what I have for L&G but definetly some of them stuff me! I don't split generally because as Lisa said, it's so much easier to pack Medifast meals for the day!!..

That's what most of us do, save it for ravenous days. We also split this one. I like to cut it in half, then one half in half again. This way I eat 1/4 at two different snack times and have half for my L&G. Just remember you need your healthy fats (HF) with this and you need to eat your HFs all at the same time. Don't ever split your HF...

I am in my 5th week MF-ing. I too felt like I was stuffing myself eating only 1 L&G so I break mine up and eat 1/3 lean and green for breakfast and for lunch..

One day I might do: Breakfast: "Sausage Biscuit and then Lunch: Soup w/ spinach.

Or Breakfast: Medifast eggs with mushrooms and spinach and then Lunch: 1/2 C. cottage cheese and a Medifast meal. It keeps me full so that I don't feel hungry. It also lets me space my meals 3 hours apart during the day and then I have 2 meals left after dinner(for dessert and maybe pretzels or puffs as a snack)...

Thank you everyone for all of the suggestions. I thought I was doing something wrong because I was feeling this way. Glad to know it wasn't only me. I think I've been doing pretty good my first week, day 6 OP and down 5 pounds (I'm pretty sure I screwed up a day or so because I was confused on the healthy fats, but I think I've got it now)...

I'm so glad you asked this question!! My first day was yesterday and I thought I was going to pass out around 2:00. By the time dinner rolled around, I was shocked at the amount of food! I couldn't finish it so I had to eat the rest of it at 9:30 at night. I will definitely split it today. Even if it's just having some cottage cheese at lunch.....
