I have worked so hard on this plan. I am pretty much in a homestretch of sorts. My only problem is my relationship with food is still not emigrant transformed. I still have overpowering cravings and when I am not feeling my best I think of food as a numbing agent. This time, however, I have generally been able to talk myself out of making a bad decision..

Yesterday, however, I made an idiot move and bought my dh fresh bagels and believed strongly I would not touch them. I have been doing so well on plan. My losses had sped up. However, something was eating at me and last night I turned to a bagel fresh out of the microwave for comfort. I woke up this morning to barely any gain and made the same mistake again today..

I am scared that as my ideal body comes to fruition I will not ever get over the food relationship. It's like I'm in some sick trance when I go off OP. I go to therapy, but I need away to get rid of this bad relationship with comfort eating! It's killing my awesome progress and feelings towards myself.

Boobnar - I wish I had some advice to give you about this. Unfortunately, you are the only one that can control emotional eating. The best I can give you is to stick with the therapy. You have come way to far to give up or let the emotional eating continue to control you. Big hugs and I hope you can find the answers you so desperately need..

Get the Beck Diet Solution.

It has lessons to practice and you learn why you eat and how to control emotional eating. It has helped lots of people here..

Most of us have triggers ( things that cause us to want MORE,MORE,MORE ) probably bread is one of your triggers..

My triggers so far are the infusers and fruit.probably more than those 2 but I am just finding out what I can eat and what I have to stay completely away from or limit severely.

Keep up with your " mental work " on this plan and that will help your emotional eating .........luv,sue.

Yeah I'm not good with "hot bread" haha it's a weakness I just don't understand the self sabotage one but.

Do you know the particular "flavor" of what was "eating you"? For me, my hardest struggle with emotional eating is when I feel lonely or empty. It's kind of literal with me. When I'm angry I naturally go pace around and don't want to eat, but I know other people stuff that emotion too. I found it helped a whole lot when I figured out my emotional trigger (loneliness/emptiness) as well as any food triggers. It gives me something specific to watch out for, and suggests some strategies - like reaching out for companionship instead of food..

I know this is a huge struggle. I feel you there, for sure. Good luck sorting this out. Be well and healthy....
