No, I haven't but I haven't always wanted to try it! Let us know if you do it!..
I have the Tom Nicoli CDs. I ordered them after seeing sisters, I believe, on a morning show who followed his program and lost weight. I used them a year or so ago, and they worked. I wasn't obsessed with food while I used them. I couldn't tell you what he said!! I would lay down and start playing it and I'd end up falling asleep...
Thats what I was thinking - if I am asleep how am I going to hear what he is saying! Then I think what if the power goes out or my laptop battery goes dead and I do not hear his voice to wake me up! LOL!!!..
I've had professional hypnotherapy for pain control and insomnia, with pretty good effects. But that can be expensive, and I think a lot of it is your rapport with the hypnotherapist. (Mine was very good with a lot of professional expertise, offices and awards; he is also a board certified Chaplain.) Anything that is mass-produced is probably not quite as effective..
Lately I have been listening to a weight loss hypnosis recording by Belleruth Naparstek. I usually listen to it at nightI like to take warm baths, so I play it during my bath and getting ready for bedtime. I do feel comfortable just having it on in the background, but I am used to listening to hypnotic suggestions. I have had marginally larger losses in the two weeks I have been listening to it, but not so much that I can say it DEFINITELY made the difference. But you can get the MP3 for about $12 if you want to give it a try!.
Thanks for the link! I did hypnosis in the past. It did work and I believe in it. I really like this link though as it is a little more. Looks like there is some positive affirmations included. Very cool!..
Hey there! I have Hypnosis CD's from the hypnosis network. I like them a lot. They were a but pricey but I bought them about 5 years ago and still use! I put them on my ipod for ease!..
I guess I am the odd (wo)man out. It did nothing for me..
I had an acquaintance who was trying to get some type of hypnotherapy certification and was needing people for her study. It was free and I thought what the heck. I thought my experience was kind of hokey. I would go in and sit in a chair and would get the whole "Sleeeeeeeep" as she pushed on my forehead. I think she got a little frustrated with me because so many times I would just sit up and say, "I am not feeling this.".
Now, in the defense of hypnosis, I am probably about as skeptical as they come. I am sure my mental "this ain't gonna work" is why it did not do anything for me. I can even remember one time many moons ago when several of us when to a comedy club where there was a hypnotist doing a show. I got pulled on stage and while everyone else on stage was clucking like a chicken and making out with their chair, I was just sitting there with this, "are you kidding me" look on my face. He finally told me to go sit down...
There is a certain percentage of the population that just can't "go under" with hypnosis...
I think you hit it right on the nose. If you are skeptical or don't believe in it, it's not going to work for you. I'm the same way...
Well you know you can always try it for free right her on the Medifast site, there are several meditation/hypnosis type things on here..
Just click above on Success Tools, Feel Good, Meditation Room, check them out, and you can download them if you want to!.
