I had a dinner to attend last week and even though I had prepared myself, I went off program. Problem is, I am having a new challenge every day since and I slip. I am not yet back on program. Have any of you done this and how did you get back on 100%? I am really needing some help here...

Take one day at a time. Heck, take 2 hours at a time. Go from one Medifast meal to the next. Ask yourself when in a challenging situation, "Is this going to get me closer to my goal or further away from it?".

Take a few minutes and really sit down and WRITE DOWN WHY you want to lose this weight. Get some magazines, like "Shape" or "Womens Health" and cut out some hot bodies and put them on your fridge, bathroom mirror. Focus on your goal..

You cant hit the "target" if you cant see it! It needs to be a primary focus. Henry Ford said "Obstacles are the things we see when we take our eyes off the target". So, set your goal! Keep it front and center.

It will get easier to "hit" with practice. Your new. Get on this site, imerse yourself and get inspired.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!! Look at how much you have lost already?.

PS I started at 201 on April 2. Today I weigh 128. I hit goal 2 months ago. If I can do it, Lord knows ANYONE CAN!..

Thank you. You are right, I am usually here everyday reading posts and looking at before and after pics of everyone. I did take my eye off my goal. Thank you for taking the time to reply...

You've gotten some good advice. I would add that it might help you to know that the more you stay on plan, the easier it gets to stay on plan..

Does that make sense? I really believe that the lower amount of carbohydrates in your system helps curb the hunger and the cravings. At least for me, I find it much easier to resist tempting foods when I'm not super hungry and super cravey (if that's a word)..

Just tell yourself that if you resist temptation now, it will be easier tomorrow than it was today!..

You are so right. I had been doing great and thought it was a breeze but everyday this week I have had a new challenge and I have said, Oh well, this won't hurt my progress. But I know I feel better on program and I want to post that beautiful goal photo. So I have got to get back to what works and not allow myself to turn back...

Every time I have a serious thought of quiting or going off plan I force myself to remember how miserable I was when I could stuff my face with any foods I wanted. I isolated from social outings because I was ashamed, I didn't have the confidence to go after everything I wanted from life. Then I think of how much happier I've been with my life and how losing 100lbs gave me the confidence to achieve anything I want and enjoy any social event I'm invited to. I started participating in life and it's worth so much more than any food I can have.

You decided to give Medifast a try for a reason, remember what that reason is and envison how you want your life to be like when you've reached your goals and even before that when you gain in confidence and self-esteem. Write it down, or record it and play it back, keep your thoughts on what your life will be like when you go to bed. It works for me...

Coqui,.

I fell off plan last night at a friend's birthday party and now feel like crap this morning. My body is rebelling from junk food... I think we all have to decide to stick to plan-it's a decision, not necessarily motivation..

BTW, you have to redo your ticker every time you lose weight. It won't update automatically...
