Hi! I've only just joined today..
I think you need to upload to a site, get the url of the photos and post that here. I usehttp://www.esnips.com but there are many sites around that offer the same service...
Thanks for that - actually someone else told me how to do it, loading the image (in my case) into flckr, then copying the url and pasting it into your dpreview post. It's so easy when you know how!Best wishes, J M Hughes..

Makes you wonder why the powers that be on this site have not given clear directions on how to do it? They have only had 9 years to write the single necessary paragraph..

And you have been here for 6 years and not read the clear instructions, when you open the panel for a new post, just click on the "help and suggestions" below it, and it is detailed there.I must admit it is pretty well hiddenLOL.

I was aware of that para though I had long ago forgotten where to find it (Thanks for the reminder!) and began to think it has dissapeared..
It is hardly comprehensive or user friendly:.
"Embedding images (only available to registered users) - To embed an image or photograph simply paste (or type) the URL (web address) of the image into your message (eg. http://etc), images more than 480 pixels wide will be scrollable. To link to an image WITHOUT EMBEDDING IT simply add a semicolon (;) to the end of the url (eg. http://etc)".
First it should be listed as "Posting Photos" not "Embedding images". (Better still both).Secondly it needs to say rather more about where to host your images e.g.
"To embed an image or photograph simply paste (or type) the URL (web address) of the image into your message (eg. http://etc). You will need to find a site to host your photo first and upload the image to it. Many contributors list their photo sites in their post so some browsing will help locate a site to suit your needs. Your site may display an address link in a drop down box or similar for pasting into your posts on this site.".

His name is Mr Bumble, and he belongs to a lady that goes to Covent Garden market. I've recently become his unofficial photographer!Best wishes, J M Hughes..
Just want to see if it works, so here is a shot of my puppy..

That's incredible - the lady in question has another dog, same breed, called Sophie! I haven't seen Sophie for a while now - usually it's Mr Bumble that comes to the market.Best wishes, J M Hughes..

I don't think so - but I'll ask the owner when I next see her! Mr Bumble is very modest and unassuming - if he's a big movie star in his spare time I'll be most impressed!J M Hughes..
