How do you make it through the weekends during Medifast??

Sticking to this plan throughout the work week is easy because I have a desk job and a little alarm that reminds me when I need to eat. My concern on this (my first weekend) is that I am not on the same schedule. For instance, I just woke up about 30 minutes ago (10:15am) by this time during the week I would have already been on my second Medifast meal. Would anyone recommend doubling up on my "breakfast". Is the point just to make sure I get in all 5 Medifast & my L&G meals no matter what time? I weigh in on Monday so it is that much more important that I am doing things right on the weekends..

Any advice would be much appreciated...

One Track: If you don't think you'll be able to finish your meals by spacing 2 hours apart, then yes, many people double up if they sleep in or forget a meal...

Onetrackfilms! You are reading my mind today, EXCEPT, I have absolutely no trouble getting the meals in! The week days are a breeze, and the weekends a touch harder, due to the celebratory feel the weekends have! At least, we are doing it together.

Luckily for me, I have my 2 1/2 year old son who wakes us up at 7:00 a.m. on weekends, so starting the day off early isn't usually a problem, LOL. In your situation, I would imagine eating 2 Medifast meals for breakfast would be okay, as long as you eat your third 2-3 hours later and so forth. OR...you could eat your one Medifast meal upon rising and eat the rest as scheduled, but you'll just be eating your last Medifast meal 2-3 hours later than usual. Weekends can be hard. Hang in there!..

You could always set your alarm to wake you up to have a meal, then go back to bed and sleep to the next one! I get up early during the week and only sleep a little later on weekends, unless I was out late the night before. I like trying to stick to the same schedule as much as possible...

I agree! and Dh is home and always likes to eat out on the weekends! ARGHHH...

Yes weekends are more difficult I usually rise almost same time as during the week but usually get busy on computer and lose track of time so before you know it my 8 am breakfast is now 10 am and it feels like I eat all day long this way no sooner get one meal in time for another but I manage. With football season here my hubby likes sipping the beers and snacking watching the games so it can be tough as I as want to do the same thing so I try to save those crunchy meals for game time ! Anyway I find I am always rushing on weekends to get all the meals in but it doesn't hurt anything just have to do it and I heard sometimes you can double up and have two at once...

Sometimes, I have to go to two hours between some meals on the weekends rather than my normal three. However, most weekends, I find I'm up at the same time as during the week, and it's not an issue. Drinking 100 oz. or so of water a day, I don't find myself sleeping too late these days..

Set alarms for your meal times. Try to keep the same schedule every day. My eating times rarely vary even in maintenance. Keep water with you at all times. If you keep your eating routine the same on the weekends as you do during the week, the weekends become easy. I have woken up to an eating reminder; had a shake or a bar and gone back to sleep.

LOL Usually the dog has me up at that point (bouncing on the bed going "breakfast mommy?")...

Weekends are easy for me. I get the opportunity to drink lots more water, which keeps me fuller. I wake up at the same time pretty much even on the weekends so I'm able to get my meals in at the appropriate times. I clean the house and do laundry to keep myself busy or take long walks with hubby...

Set your alarm for 9 a.m. and have something easy like a bar, then go back to sleep. Surprisngly enough for me, with all the activities and socializing, I'm finding this plan easier on the weekend, which I wouldn't have imagined in a million years! But I do think itis important to get that first one in by 9 a.m...

Weekends are SO much harder for me, because of the shared meals. Traditionally, my family eats most meals together on the weekend, whereas during the week we only eat dinner together (no problem, that's my L&G).

I have little ones so I'm making them a regular meal and then having to eat my packet. Not fun. If I'm really tempted by it I ask DH to do it. But the temptation to pick at their food is awful.

Also, my kids have decided that my Medifast meals look delicious and want to share them with me. I'm like "get outta here, this is all I get! You can't have any! Scram!".

Somehow I make it through.....
