I had the sam problem. It was a problem with the settings of the fire wall..
Every time I click on a members name I get this message.
"ForbiddenThis page is protected by proprietary privacy software (to protectusers email addtresses).Your web browser did not pass the correct credentials to our serverYou may receive this message if you are blocking certain HTTP headers".
I use both explorer and mozilla and happens to both. Does this hasto do with my browsers settings or the settings of my own profilein this forum?.
I have the same problem..? How does one fix that..?.
I fixed it. It was the Norton Firewall..
You said it was Norton. But what did you have to do to fix it? I'm having the same problem...
Get rid of norton and get zonealarm'Beware of the oldman with one gun\camera..He knows how to use it'..
I don't have the answer to your question, but it is not because of Norton. I have Norton, and I can see the profiles just fine. I suggest that you ask a neighborhood kid if she/he can solve your problem..
Since that happens with both browsers, it's probably the firewall. I don't have Norton, but there should be a way in Norton to examine what setting it applies to each program. Find that in Norton, and in it set it to allow your browser, maybe just Mozilla, to allow all connections. I wouldn't trust IE...
I've had it also with my ZoneAlarm Pro firewall. Because my licence finished, I swaped to ZoneAlarm (the freeware version) and everything is fine. The problem has something to do with special header filtering. Unfortunately I didn't find anyone so far who can tell my which option how to adjust. So I'll stay with the freeware version..
It may not be your Norton firewall..
Go to your control panel and click on Internet options. Click security and ensure your level is set at medium. Then go to privacy and set it to medium..
You can turn off your Windows firewall but that is usually not a good thing to do...
