You know things were going so well on medifast and I have hit a road block. I really had not been feeling well since about wed night. This week I changed up my lean and green with instead of having chicken/turkey I had the soy fake meat product as the protein. Well around wed night started not feeling so well, stomach aches, cramps, going to the bathroom alot etc. So I thought it was the soy fake meat products so I went back to turkey last night. Took some immodium just to be on the safe side.

I been going on alot of websites this afternoon and alot of them tell you to avoid two ingredients that are in the bars I have from medifast. They tell you to have toast, crackers, potatoes, juice, etc.. everything that is not on plan! I am feeling so horrible, in the bathroom constantly, feeling a little dehydrated and now I can't stay on the program.

I am so fearful I am going to gain so much weight back since I need to get better first. I think I may of caught a stomach virus. I am going to do what some of these sites say and just take it easy, hopefuly can get my system back in check fast but I am just so down that I have to come off of the program to get better..

I am down 40lbs in eight weeks and just don't want to go back up. Grrrr.

I would say don't eat the bars, stay OP, and see if you aren't better in a couple days. Drink TONS of water to make up for what you're losing. If it's really bad consult your physician. But if it were me, I'd at least try eliminating the bars and giving my body a chance to stabilize before giving up on MF. I mean, it might just be a bug, right?.

Hope you feel better soon!..

I would think shakes only would be easy on your tummy and help hydrate you. Feel better!..

I think when you are sick that you need to do what ever feels like the right thing for yourself. The main thing is to stay hydrated. Talk to your health coach and see what they recommend. Ppl get sick all of the time and there has to be a way to work this out until you feel better.

Feel better soon!..

Sounds like a mild stomach bug and I wouldnt eat any of those things you found on the web like potatoes???? juice, nope... crackers... not necessary... really all you need is to stay hydrated...try some chicken or turkey or even beef broth. if you have Medifast soups, those are great. tea is another good option.

Take care..

What sites are you looking at? Not every bit of information on the Internet is good. I like to visit the Mayo Clinic, and they recommend things like eggs and chicken and broth, which are on the plan:

Well today I am feeling better. Bathroom breaks are gettin back to normal thank god. I had a baked piece of chicken today for lunch with some whole grain crackers. I am not eating the Medifast yet but I think it might be best to ease my body back into the food durin the upcoming week. Thinking of adding two things tomorrow, two more meals on tuesday and then by wed be back up to 5 meals and of course my lean and green meal...
