Help deciding on a camera...
I am looking for a digital camera for my grandmother. She is still using an old film one. The main reason I am looking for her is because she needs a big screen. 3.0+. I don't want it to have a touch screen. It will be used for parties, bdays, get-to-gethers, etc.

It needs to be an easy to use camera, as she is in no way "high tech". I have a couple cameras in mind, but not being a camera pro, I would like some suggestions. Thanks for your help! If you have any questions, please ask and I will respond. Thanks again.....

Just in case you missed this....

The Buying Guide here has a Features Search that you could enter135mm+ and 3.0"+ for the LCD and it will have some user reviews and/orDP Review..

Thanks, but I actually did look. It just brought up so many cameras, but I didn't know when they were released. I want a new enough camera that it won't be out of style in a few months...

As in my last response, I did a feature search, but a lot of the cameras had old release dates. I wanted one that will stay in style for a while...

I also did a feature search but included 3 inch screen, image stabilization and a street price of less than $300. Here are my results:

Of the cameras listed, my top choice would be the Panasonic TZ3, followed by the Sony W80...

Thank you. I did get those same results when I did mine. The thing is that 3 of those cameras were released in Jan of 2007, and don't want them to go out of style very quickly. But I am seriously considering the Canon 870. Everyone says it's a great camera. Thanks!..
