So it's the end of week 3 for me, and I only lost one pound this week. All week when I'd weigh the scale as been going down down.. now when it comes time to record my weight, only a pound. GRRRRRrrrrrrr! I even have been working out this week. I know 14lbs lost in a three week time period is still awesome, but man I'm still frustrated about it!.

Week 3 can typically be a slow week. Your body is trying to adjust to what the heck is going on Plus, you've been working out. Muscles retain water for repair, so that may be why you're not down more than a pound this week also. Other factors like constipation can play a role as well. Don't get too down about it girl. It took me WEEKS to lose 14 pounds! You are doing great! Just keep at it.

I lost 0.5 pounds my 3rd week and I was sooooo angry. But the next week my loss was better. I know it's frustrating, but stick with it and the pounds will continue to come off...and yes, 14 pounds in 3 weeks is AMAZING! Keep up the good work..

Butterfly you are doing great !! Maybe stop stepping on the scale so often........myself I will only weigh once a week because for me if I weighed everyday and didn't loose it could ruin my entire day. I dont' want the scale to dictate to me how my day will go. I am sure not what you wanted to hear either sorry. When you do work out they are right you won't have as big a loss but on the other hand your into week 3 I would think it's normal so have a slow down but I don't know I am new only day 6 so I reading and learning from all of you. Hang in there.

Not to scare you off of exercise, but that is a possible cause for only a pound lost on the week you started exercise. When you work out and cause damage to the muscles, they take on more water during the repair and recovery phase. You should only notice it the first week or two of starting exercise though. If you still have issues after a couple weeks, it could be that the exercise is dropping your body into starvation mode and you will need to make adjustments..

I also could be full of it, but that is what I have observed.

You have had an average of almost 5 lbs a week. That is fantastic..

Don't let the scale rule your emotions!! I have a Dr. appt on Friday (I just started Monday), and I already plan on telling the nurse to not tell me my weight. I'm afraid if I don't see a "drop", I'll be discouraged and will justify me going off plan for the weekend.

If this effects you like that too, maybe you might consider weighing every-other-week instead of every week. Just a thought!.

I think we all expect Medifast to be some sort of magic when we start it. However it is an eating plan not a magic wand. You are doing great. Like Tracy said it took me weeks and weeks and weeks to lose 14 pounds but I did it and now I am at my goal. A lot slower than other folks that started with me for sure but my scale moved every week but two the whole time..

Hang in there. The pounds will come off..

I agree with everyone else. I just ended week 3 on Sunday and only lost 2 pounds. I am very very heavy so I thought I would do better, but what everyone is saying makes sense. I'm looking forward to a good loss for week 4!.

As long as we stay OP we will see results!.

Butterfly, you are doing GREAT! I know how frustrating it can be when you weigh yourself daily and on THE DAY it counts, the scale shows a one pound loss or (YIKES!) no loss at all! There are so many reasons why someone doesn't lose. Like others have said, exercising could be a culprit (but at week 3, don't let that stop you from working out). Although you didn't mention what kind of exercise you were doing. Too much or too long could cause you to go into starvation mode and you don't want that..

Other factors for not losing is stress, water retention, too many carbs, TOM, etc. Keep that in mind when stepping on the scales. Stay on plan and you will continue to notice the scales drop. Oh, also something to consider: how do your clothes fit? You may not notice a big drop in the scales but your clothes may fit looser..

Hang in there!! Don't give up! You will meet your goal as long as you stay on plan..

Week 3 got me too. Only lost .4 lbs. But, I knew there would be weeks like that. It WILL keep coming off. Not to worry..

Start measuring yourself...don't just weigh...just because the scale doesn't move doesn't mean you aren't loosing in other ways...i went thru that...slow scale but was loosing inches from waist, arms, thighs..u get the idea...so not only track your scale weight...keep track of those inches...and trust me slow is good...u will have better odds of keeping the weight off if you go slow and steady like the turtle!!!!.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words. Means a lot to me!.

Dont feel frustrated over it, it's not the end of the world, and 1 pound is great! You will even have weeks when you dont lose at all, so how you going to cope with it then? Stay op and you will melt away!!! .

Slow wins the race!.

It was week 5 (this week) for me and I lost nothing! Disappointing, but you take the good and the bad. Praying next week will be better for both of us!.
