Hi everyone,.

I just started this past Tuesday and the first two days I lost 3.2 lbs., but now I have only lost .2 lbs. in the last two days. Is this normal for your first week of Medifast?.

Maybe I need to have some more patience..

Thank you,.

Congratulations! 3.4 lbs is great. The speed at which the weight comes off depends on a lot of things. You definitely need more patience. You're doing great. Just stay OP and the weight will come off...

I just completed my first week and I thought that my loss was slower than others. I made the mistake of weighing mid-week and expected to lose through the end of the week. The scale didn't move from that day. My health coach indicated that my loss was normal and many factors determine why others lose more weight, etc. Don't fee frustrated..

My best advice is not to stress about the rate at which the wt comes off. Just stay on plan 100% and it will come off. I lost on average under 2 lbs per week. Some weeks more, some weeks less. But here I am now at goal. And if I had given up because I wasn't losing as fast as others, I wouldn't be here now.

And, I would only weigh once a week if it's going to mess with your brain.

Good luck, you can do it...

Not even a week yet isn't it? any weight off, is weight off. the rate of loss for the first couple of weeks all depends on how much you have to lose, how you ate before beginning MF, etc.... just remember as long as the scale goes down, all is good with the world...

I know how you feel... but stopping weighing mid week.... not worth the stress. Drink your water and then some. Weightloss is weight lost!..

Not sure how much you have to lose, but I'm noticing that the ones posting lately that have less to loselike 20/30 or lesshave expectations set too high. Those of us that have great results in the beginning weigh a lot more. I started this with 100+ pounds to lose. So my first week loss was 10 pounds, and so far I've lost 40. But I have a ways to go..

All that said, don't stress about daily fluctuations. You've started off great. Just focus on the weekly weigh in number and don't stress about those ups and downs in the meantime. Those happen naturally! Based on stress, water retention, TOM, constipation, etc. It's NOT fat pounds being added on, which is the important thing to acknowledge...

Look at my weight loss-the first week wasn't spectacular, probably because I was eating a low sodium, high water diet before MF. But my weight loss has been great! Just stick to the plan and your body will release the weight...

Heh - check out my ticker. I've been doing this 2 weeks. I'm a slooooow loser but I'm a loser none the less! I think ANY loss is worth celebrating!..

You're doing great. Tracking daily progress will drive you insane, once a week made my life much easier...

Look at me, I don't even average 2 a week, but guess what, I'm still losing and I'll get there like everyone! I had already been dieting prior to Medifast so of course, I can't expect to be losing 5 a week like some people here. As long as the number goes down rather than up, I'm ok with it and even if I wasn't, what else could I do? rage war against my body and give up? Then what?..

Thanks everyone for the support and advice. I just want to make sure that I am starting off right and after reading your posts I no longer have any worries about it.

Thank you again..
