I am so tired of being tired, lol. I'm finishing week 3 and I have yet to feel this magical energy everybody speaks about.

I'm not hungry that much, but I'm flat out exhausted. Like bone numbing exhausted. I feel the way I do on the first day of my period, except I feel like that every day. I'm wandering around in a hazy fog.

Anybody else feel this way? I looked at my graph and I'm averaging 71 carbs/day over the last 3 weeks..

Chinakat,.

Could you please post for us what a normal day of Medifast meals and L & G looks like for you?.

Are you weighing your Vegetables? If you are, then it sounds like you need to eat some of the higher-carb veggies like Asparagus, Broccoli, Green beans, etc..

Your carbs should be 80 - 100 per day..

Hey,.

Hate to say it but I am on week 9 and while I am not as tired as I was the first 2 weeks, I am pretty consistently low energy on this plan. My father is also doing Medifast adn we have discussed how we both have less energy. For me it is worth it, the plan works and I figure the more weight I lose the more energy I will get. Again, I don't feel as lethargic as I did in the beginning, but I am more sluggish overall on this plan. Good luck and keep with it, it is worth it and so are you!!.

Hi! How much excercise are you doing? I know you responded to my post about excercise. You MAY want to look at the 4/2, especially if your working out alot.

I am sorry your feeling so tired. I can relate (had twin premi-babies to nurse-now their 5) to be exhausted. But, I think you should start feeling better soon. If you dont in a few days, or sooner, maybe go see your Dr..

Georgiagirl has/had Mono/Epstein Barr Fatigue Syndrome. Its possible???? Just a thought. Regardless, do look at the 4/2 and keep us posted!.

I've been thinking about the 4 & 2. I'm not actually "working out" right now, but I move a lot in the course of a day. I have two small children myself.

I did lift some weights one day last week. It kind of kicked my butt! I like to exercise and am looking forward to getting back in to running now that I've dropped a few pounds, but am having a hard time imagining myself not quickly hitting the wall with this energy level.

A typical day for me is oatmeal, shake, soup, bar, L&G, pudding. I have a digital scale and meticulously weigh my leans. I might have a little more than is sanctioned when it comes to my green, but I *always* log them accurately, and I've never gone over 90 carbs in a day.

The 71 carb average is probably a little misleading b/c I had one day where my carbs were in the 40s (I posted about it, I took my kids to the theme park and ate 2 mainly protein meals and didn't have a lot of other good options), so I think that day pulled my numbers down. I typically eat around 80 carbs a day..

I was on Medifast for probably a good 7 weeks before I got back to "normal" energy. I was miserable the first few weeks for sure. I haven't tried them, but they do sell a Medifast energy type drink that'd probably put more pep in your step due to some medication I take, these kinds of beverages aren't allowed for me..

Well I'll join your tired club. Sheesh, I took a nap today! I'm on day 10 and hoping it goes away. I'm also feeling a bit stupider than usual (I'm usually quick to think on my feet, now, not so much it seems). Good luck!.

When I had a physical recently, the Dr. discovered that my iron was low and I've noticed that I feel much better since taking a supplement...many women do have iron deficiency so it's something to think about. Hope you feel better soon!.

Hi Chinakat! It took me many weeks to get rid of that lethargy! My body felt so tired all the time and I felt week. Probably around Week 7 or 8 I finally got some energy back. I never got the "super energy" that others do, but I feel good now and have plenty of energy. I hope you're feeling better soon!.

I still fight fatigue..and I'm on month 3. Increase in exercising helped me. I would also suggest increasing your protein...splitting your L&G will help!.

Hey. I have had issues with this too. My doctor put me on some prescription potassium and told me to drink bouillon to help out..

Funny Medifast has made me stupid too. I put things in the freezer that go in the fridge and vice versa. I also stuck the ham for my family in the fridge instead of the oven. When the timer went off I opened the oven and no ham! I actually had to look around for it scary It was in the fridge wrapped in foil..

Have you tried having your L&G earlier in the day? Moment I started doing that I felt so much better. Plus now I'm not trying to get my L&G together while getting the kiddo's dinner, bath, bedtime done and I find that my evenings go much smoother..

Don't take this the wrong way, but that's hilarious! .

My mom used to do stuff like that all the time... she'd put the groceries away and we'd find the toilet paper in the fridge....

It comes and goes. Bursts of intense restless energy, and then long hours on the sofa. Overall, on average, trending upwards towards more energy as I have less fat to lug around. But it takes time....

I am feeling like the really horrid foggy-headedness has lifted the last month or so. That's good..

Hang in there, it be like that sometimes! .

Make sur eyou eat all your meals though!.

I had a lot of weight to lose and was a carb addict, I was TIRED for 5 weeks, NO energy, BUT I was losing weight and WASN'T hungry. I was thrilled with not being hungry and when the Energy kicked in, and it did, it was ALL Worth it! Not to mention I was losing weight. I just slept more, rested more and it passed. It was SO Worth it! Hang in there, it will get better. Remember, Everyone is different, so glad you are at least not hungry, keep up your hard work. Dan.

Tired and brain fog are symptoms of hypothyroidism, ask doc to check it next time..

I never got the magic energy rush that people talked about in 5&1. Did lose weight and wasn't hungry. Then in week 2 of T&M I finally started to feel great and energized and have felt great since! So it must be an individual thing.Don't give up though, this really works!!!.

I have more energy when I eat my L&G in the afternoon..

OMG. That's funny as heck. I've lost my brain too. If you add in diet, pms, work, family, no wonder we're exhausted. I'm exhausted just listing all those things.

Seriously though, I truly am tired all the time and have 2 1/2 months under my belt. I sometimes feel like it's just not enough calories some days..
