Entry level camera recommendations
I am looking to purchase a very basic entry level p&s camera. Budget of no more than $200. The main thing it will be used for is just taking family shots and baby photos. With my current camera (Fujifilm finepix E900) I experience a lot of blurred photos when taking photos of my baby..

Can anyone recommend a camera that will take decent photos without experiencing too much shutter lag?.

I have been looking at the Sony Cybershot DSC-S730, but not really sure what I should be looking for..

Thanks..

For a budget baby cam the Canon A580 kicks butt. Ok, apologies for the alliteration, but it happens to be perfectly true. Forget the Sony (Memory sticks cost too much anyhow)..

I would definitely would get a camera with optical image stabilization. The Canon a570, a590 and a720 are all within your budget and have this feature. I don't think the a580 does...

Dont buy CANON, my A570 IS has a defective battery power sensor (and many other users have the same fault). So stay out of buying CANON!..

This has been discussed ad nauseum on the Canon Talk Forum. For many people, myself included, all you do is push the battery in a couple of times before closing the battery door. No more problem. I have had my a570 for over year now, I've used it extensively, carrying it with me almost all the time and quality for price it is a great deal. Mary..
