I have been so good about staying OP but there is a giant bowl of twix, snickers, crunch bars and kit kats sitting by the door and I swear I can smell them and I want to take one of each and shove them in my mouth like a candy kamakaze... I keep telling myself I can have candy whenever I want so don't freak out tonight but..... ughhhh!..

I have to tell you, when you reallllllly taste the chocolate, it's not as good as we imagined it. The strength I am feeling, by not giving my power away to it, is very satisfying. Let's all hold virtual hands and gather strength for those who need it..

Or if it is still trick or treat time, give it all to one kid and turn off your light...

I know how you feel! I am struggling too. I DO like this feeling of being able to control myself though. It feels good. I am starting to make the shift in my brain. I KNOW how this will go...I'll give it, have heaven for about 12 seconds then the self loathing kicks in. WHY? It is NOT worth it! I would not have had candy here at all, but my husband would think I've gone mad.

But there it is!..

I've never tried this, but I read a great recipe: 1 Medifast hot chocolate, and 3T of sugar-free syrup (any flavor). Mix together to make a paste, drop by spoonfuls on some foil, sick in the freezer and, voila!! Yummy Medifast "candy"!!..

Don't do it! Not worth it. If it is really stressing you out get it out of the house..

I was dreading when my future MIL asked us to come over to help with handing out candy to the kids. They live one block away from us and get most of the trick or treaters. It is like a mob scene over there because they are in a row home and it is easy for the kids to go from house to house. They buy bags and bags of candy. Our street is all single family homes and we are lucky if we get a handful of kids if any. I reluctantly went and I didn't touch the candy.

I just sat on the porch and kept them company commenting at all the cute costumes. Victory!!!!! This is day 3 for me and I am on that newbie high so I think that helped. When I got home I filled up a cup of crushed ice and splashed some davinci SF blueberry flavored syrup on it. That was my trick for having a treat and it worked to cure the sweet tooth..

Now I need to just avoid all the candy people are going to bring into the office tomorrow. Right now I really have no desire for it. I am too excited to see my results when I weigh in on Friday. It feels great to be 100% OP...

Get yourself some sugar-free chocolate! The Dove sugar-free dark chocolate is to DIE for.... 4 pieces only has 7 carbs........... The peppermint patties are also pretty good.... you'd be amazed at what's out there that's sugar-free...

You can do this! You are so right, it's not that you can never have candy, it's that you can't have candy right NOW! Smell the chocolate and get a contact high and then eat your Medifast meal content with the fact that you have done so well and are almost halfway there!..

I just keep thinking of the headaches I had the first 7 days OP and I don't want to go through the sugar withdrawls again.....

I have the same bowl of candy by the front door. I saved my bar for tonite....told myself that caramel crunch bar was better than a snickers........

When I think about things that I want, I look at my body and see the pounds from the last time I ate them. I also always say, "I still have that _____ right here" as I tap my thigh...
