I was not pleased with the way my personal blender worked with the soft serve. I decided to just mix it like pudding with 4 oz of water in a glass cereal bowl. I put the bowl in the freezer and stirred after about 15 minutes. It had already begun to thicken like soft serve. I left it a little longer and stirred well. It was much better, quicker, and easier than using the blender.

I think it could also be eaten as pudding or frozen in popsicle forms. I think if it was made ahead of time and kept in fridge til cold it would turn to soft serve consistency very quickly. I will not even try it in my blender again. I have always done the pudding ice cream by freezing it....mix it as a shake with about 6 oz of water and freeze. When ready to serve I would put the partially thawed pudding in my blender with some fat free cream cheese and vanilla flavoring and blend with out using ice.

The pudding freezes a lot harder..

This sounds like a great inexpensive way to make the soft serve. Thank you so much for posting this - I shall try it!.

I just did that. Added 4 oz of water to the shaker jar, added the powder, shaked, placed in the freezer for 15 min. Stirred. Placed back into the freezer for 30 min. It was good. Perhaps not fully soft serve frozen, but I was hungry and did not want to wait any longer. I hate using a blender, so this was perfect for me! Thanks!.

Thanks so much for putting this on the board!.

I've had my soft serve for two weeks and couldn't get the ice thing down. This will be so much easier for me and finally I'll get to try my mango soft serve.... lol ...

I'm definitely trying it today!!.

I am going to have to try this. I ordered a personal blender at walmart.com to have delivered to the store and they lost it. They refunded me my money and even gave me a gift card to purchase another one, but I still have my soft serve that needs to (wants to) be eaten! I will definitely be trying this one tonight!.
