The adapter rings for the len's mounts exist. try adorama and b&h. but you loose all auto features of any lens you use that way...

And also for this lens, it says it can be fitted on a Nikon, Pentax or Sony. do that mean they have different mounts of the same lens that can be fitted on different brand or one lens that can be fitted on all those different brand.

And also the front bit of most zoom lens rotate out when zooming, what if I want to use a filter?..

That lens has a lens mount that can be fitted to only 1 dslr with out the adapter..

If you wish to have the lens work on 3 different makers cameras then you need to buy 3 separate lenes...

Then the filter that is attached to it rotates as well..

This would not mean much. except to the user who in using a neutral graduated density filter. these filters should be used with the graduated line paralell to the ground, to keep the line level in the image...

He's probably talking about a T-Mount like you find on very inexpensive lenses. Moreover with the front rotating during focus pretty much guarantees this ..

Personally, I would pass on this type of lens...

Not really..

Each mount is different and also ( more importantly ) the adapter required to fit between a Nikon and Pentax mounts would have to be so thin it would be impossible to engineer..

This firm do adapter mounts for many models :.

Many people use older manual lenses ( like M42 mount and Tamron Adaptall's ) to share lenses between different cameras. Also ( and more usually ) because the older lenses are very cost effective ( if you don't mind manually operating a lens )..

Modern lenses are all built with a particular mount in mind and you must buy multiple lenses..

Re>and is it worth buying it?<.

No. If you can find an adpapter, it is still not worh buying..

Front rotateion: If you are using a polarizing filter, a rotating front makes a difference, but allyou need to do is adjust the filter once you get the lens focused..

As for the lens in your link: if you went to the store, you'd see three boxes each with thesame lens spec written on the side, except one box would say Nioon, anothr box Canon, a third Pentax. The lens in each box only fits a camera from that camera manufacturer with it's name on the box..

T-mount lenses are from another century..

There are adapters for many different mounts to Canon EOS or Olympus E series. There is no Pentax K to Nikon F..

How much is it.

Anywhere from $20 (ebay) up to near $200:.

And is it worth buying it?.

Depends on your own situation. What are you shooting, what lenses do you have, what's your budget, etc. If you go this route you need to be comfortable with manual focus and stop-down metering, with the only exposure automation being aperture priority..

A lot of Canon landscape photographers using the Zeiss/Contax 21mm will disagree with you..
