Looking through my domain list, I would say a good 40% could be considered 'trademarked'. I also have domains spread out over 3 registrars and hosts, and would like to atleast consolidate the domains to one location. I saw the sticky, and checked out the recommended NameCheap, but was curious if anyone had any other thoughts.

GoDaddy? NameCheap? 1and1? -wait fuck 1and1...

Where to consolidate your domains depends on what your intention are with them?.

If you are going to resell them, then Welcome to 77GB.net, www.godaddy.com is good site, they allow free push to other accounts, they allow bulk actions which is very nice when one has many domains..

If you are looking for the cheapest possible www.1and.com, is cheapest I know of, but yeah you know they do not have free push and they do not allow bulk actions (DNS, contact and so on)..

So if you need to do bulk actions the first ones are preferable, but if you dont care and just want the cheapest choose the last one..

I hope this is of some help..

Best regards,..

I can create an eNom sub reseller account for you if you are interestedEnom is great...

I have used namecheap for quite a while without any problems. I don't own any trademarked domains though...

After a bit more research, I think I will check out NameCheap once more. Any bad experiences with them?..

I disagree. They have horrible customer service, weak links between the phone reps and techs, and all around shit service when an emergency happens..

I'm in the process of moving 400+ domains away from them to bulk.enom.com.

Bulkregister all the way. 100% problem free for me for the past 4 years...

My intentions are basically to simplify my domain management (I do not have a shit ton, but they are currently in 3 places which is a bit annoying). I basically just want to avoid being dicked over if I need to push the domain, cancel the domain, etc..

I have seen some horror stories with GoDaddy, however I haven't used them myself.

Testingyou - Thank you for the advice...

One last question...Do most registrars auto-renew domains? My currently do, which saves me the hassle of trying to renew it myself. Auto-renew is a must.......

Normally every registrar does allow auto renew, it's just up to the customer to set it on/off..

Best regards,..

Since you have trademarked domains I would be very picky about who you select as your registrar and I definitely would advise you against consolidating them all into one account if you decide to go with a US based registrar. I have heard horror stories about some US registrars locking up all domains in one account due to one or more C&D's and not releasing them. Don't touch 1&1 with a 10 foot pole, they will shit on you at the drop of a hat regardless of how much business you give them for how many years..

I'm currently looking for a GOOD non US registrar lately myself. I want ones who will ignore C&D and DMCA complaints or simply forward them to me without taking any further action. Anyone have any recommendations?..

Hey, how did my post get tripled? Sorry for that, not my intention, I dont know how that happen? Again sorry..

->WayneDog.

I dont think you can find any registrar that ignores if they get a C&D DMCA complaint. They will give their customers contact information to them and wait to see if they really are illegal..

Second, lets say they overlook it, then the company who want to sue you, just contact WIPO, fill out their complain, and if it is really illegal, then WIPO will demand (if not the customer do it them self) that the registrar transfer the domain, if they do not transfer the domain, then the registrar at worst can loose his registrar rights..

But good luck finding any...

Avoid Godaddy & Enom ( including their resellers ) at all costs ...

Gandi has a good reputation for protecting the customer as far as I am aware. They are based in France. I believe they were recommended to me by people on dnforum when I used to hang out there more...

I prefer Namecheap. Whoisguard and other nifty things/features. Moreover, i've heard some horror stories about godaddy..

As for a non-us registrar, planetdomania seems good to me...

Just some recommendations although I'm not using some:.

Hostdime.com/.

Fastdomain.com.

Fatcow.com.

Bluehost.com.

Server Pronto..

I switched most of my stuff to Moniker recently and they are awesome, I do have a great account rep there though. I discussed their policies regarding DMCA's etc before moving them there since I have a bunch of trademarked domains and I was satisfied at how they explained to me they handle them...

If you do keep any with GoDaddy, here are coupon codes that make both registering and renewing cheaper:.
