It is probably not worth the hassle as it sounds like clear TM infringement.
So every domain with a keyword "barbie" is register TM ? the domain look something like this xxxxxbarbiexxxx.com ? I dont under stand why they go after me. There are million domain out there related to "barbie" keywords in domain..
What was the content on the domain itself?.
They have gone after plenty of others as well DomainFight.net - The World's First UDRP & Cybersquatting Search Engine: Seach NAF and WIPO Panel Decisions.
Games is content... wow look like they are very serious..
I would just give up and send it away to them if I was you, as long as you can 100% confirm it's infact them.
So it might be worth asking for a phone number..
If you were monetizing the site than you've got no chance in hell of winning the case.
I would agree with the others, transfer the domain to them, see if they are willing to least pay you for the reg fee.....
It really depends on the usage. I would second Brad...
Over-used analogy number 10: there are a million drivers who violate anti-speed laws. Not all of them get caught, but those that do pay the price.
You may get mad at Mattell for not going after the other Barbie sites. Whether they'll go after them or not is solely for them to decide, despite how others feel about it.
Up to you if you still want to keep the domain...or give it to them and have one less problem to worry about...
Well said Dave. I believe you may have a chance at saving the domain...if you change your name to Barbie.
Looks as though they are very serious about the name and will push until it's theirs...
I would give up the name - why fight them? They got all the lawyers...
