Does anybody know where to find 128 smartmedia (if it exists)
I'm looking for a 128 MB smartmedia card. I don't know if they exist. But if they do does anybody know where to buy them and about how much. With the new Fuji 4700 and Ricoh RDC-7 they need more than 1 MB per picture a 64MB card doesn't cut it for a weekend.....

I'm pretty certain 128MB don't exist yet, and when they do your camera may need to updated anyway. The best answer if you need 128MB is to buy a second card! You really ought to have two anyway, since there's a non-zero probability that any particular card will fail each day...

Smartmedia 128Mb cards DO EXIST and if you want to find the best buy for same go to and the to Digital Photography accesories. I have a C3000Z by Olympus and will buy a 128Mb as it will save changing cards unneccesarily. Tec Williams..

Tom, I just bought Olympus 128 Mb SmartMedia from CDW ( for ~$145. I thought that it would work in my Oly 2100UZ but I haven't been able to verify that it willaround the 'net, everybody is quoting 64 Mb max. I have not opened it because I'm debating whether to return it or not. Anyway, they have it and they're a great company. Terry Wirth..

Some of the Oly models can support 128 Mb SmartMediaI know that the 700UZ and 2040 can. It depends on the model and I'm trying to find out if the 2100UZ supports it. I'm not sure what the difference between "fast write" and the others may be. However, I prefer Oly brand SmartMedia for my Oly cam because it enables the *very cool* panorama function. I tried the 360 degree panorama feature out last night (stitches 10 shots together and makes a QuickTime out of it) and it was just amazing! As long as I can get the Oly memory for a competitive price, I'll use if for my 2100UZ Regards,.

I just bought the 64 MB for $33 + $4 shipping. It works great. Go to and see that they are highly rated. Also be sure your model camera can handle 128...

I found out that in spite of all of the specs on the 'net, the 128 Mb SmartMedia works in the 2100UZ. I just stuck it in there an it works. There's a HUGE difference between 40 and 90 SHQ pics per card! Have fun! I absolutely love my 2100UZ! If you like, you can check out a few of the the images I've recorded so far here: Regards,.
